Moda Blog Hop!
Welcome to day one of the Moda BLOG hop!
Moda assigned me the letter B and soon B’s were all I could think about. I had the biggest urge to pick up Barbara Brackman’s book and look for blocks beginning with B, like Basket, Broken Dishes, Birds in the Air, Bear Paw, Bethlehem Star, and Bird of Paradise. It’s enough to drive me BATTY.
So instead I got out of bed and biked into Berkeley, wearing baggy burlap bell bottoms, to pick up backing, binding, borders, batting and beige buttons for a baby quilt. On the way home I bumped into Barbara, Barry, and Billy who were bragging about Bob’s banana bread. Bob’s a good buddy of mine who bakes the best bread. His recipe is basic and he actually found it in a beginner’s bagel book. He adds tons of butter and bakes it in batches. I begged him to share the recipe but he said he was too busy. Oh well, if his name hadn’t started with a B, I wouldn’t have bothered begging.
I’d better be brief before you think I’m not bright. I’ve got this B thing bad! Who knew I’d love B’s as much as I love Bunnies? Oh boy, this B business is beginning to buzz about bundles. I’m giving one away. I may be bagging one up for you on the 28th if you leave me a comment below. One of you B lovers is going to win a bundle or a layer cake of Winter Wonderland!
To show what you can do with the B pattern from Moda, I made up one and framed it! I added a bunny of course, I just couldn’t help myself.
You’ll find the pattern for the letter B below, along with the pattern for the bunny.
In honor of the letter “B”, here’s a man I met at market who’s truly a B-eliever…
…doesn’t he look familiar? He’s holding a pillow I designed using my newest fabric line, Winter Wonderland (coming soon to a shop near you).
The Believe pillow is a free pattern I hope you’ll like. Just click on the link below for the pattern! You’ll find a few kits for this pillow on my website.
Print out the letters you find on each designer’s blog during this blog hop, and Moda will show you how to put them into a quilt! Here’s the links and the schedule:
