National Book Lover’s Day!
Finally, a day for us…the book lovers of the world! You know who you are! You get lost in Barnes and Noble and forget the time. Sometimes you buy a book you can’t resist, only to find out when you get home that you already have it. You curl up with a good book every chance you get, and I bet you’ve even been known to read while you’re cooking dinner.
I love books so much, I turned our Living Room into a library! Bookcases line each side of the room, and comfy chairs are tucked into in each corner.
You’ll find everything in my library from the book that started me quilting years ago…
…to the Stitch Zakka book that I have a little project in…
I buy any book published by Country Living…
…and I collect every embroidery book I can find .
I love all of the “Material Obsession” books…
…and books by Harriet Hargrave are the best reference books ever!
Everyone in our family loves books.
Chelsea likes to read about Chihuahuas…
And she also loves books about Christmas Decorating!
She’s trying to understand Crazy Quilting so she studies every book she can find on the subject.
BOOK LOVERS DAY is sponsored by Moda Fabrics so hop on over to the Moda blog and you can enter to win 6 new books. You’ll also find links to other Moda designers, talking about books on their blogs! Then sit back, have a cup of tea and relax for a bit with your favorite book. Oh, and tell me what you’re reading now and later today I’ll give away two “Stitch Zakka” books!
It’s a great day when you can read a good book.

Books! I love them! I have about 40 pages left in Winter of the World by Ken Follett, the second book in his Century Trilogy. I also listen to books on tape in the car, almost done with Sing you Home by Jody Picoult. And I got 2 new quilting books in the mail today- Friendship Triangles by Edyta Sitar and Applique and Embroidery by Janice Vaine. Lots of good reading ahead!

Thanks for sharing your inspirations. I have lots of books and can spend hours and hours just looking at books. It is fun to see the various inspirations. My first book was sampler quilt book by Georgia Bonesteel. It’s in the attic with the unfinished king size quilt.

Glad to meet another quilt blogger, who loves books and cats too.
