“S is for Stitch” Blog Hop!
Hi Everyone! Welcome to the “S is for Stitch” blog hop! I’ve been lucky enough to receive a copy of this book and I’ve had so much fun looking through all the embroidery projects. If you love embroidery, you’ll love this book!
Kristyne over at Pretty By Hand, is the author of S is for Stitch. It’s her first book and it’s so cute! It’s perfect for beginners, teens, tweens, and everyone! With embroidery designs for girls or boys she’s right up my alley. S is for Stitch has 2 alphabets, along with embroideries for each. A is for Angel…or maybe an ant. Are you a ballerina or is baseball more your style? You’ll find them all in this book.
What little boy wouldn’t want this little car stitched on a pair of jeans or favorite shirt? Stitch 3 cars in a row and you’ve got a picture just waiting to be framed.
You can take any of the embroidery designs in Kristyne’s book and stitch so many pretty things! I just couldn’t resist stitching the angel wings. I combined one strand of silver metallic floss, with 3 strands of embroidery floss to give the embroidery a little sparkle. You can stitch the designs individually like I did, or combine them for a cute ABC quilt for your little one. Kristyne gives you great directions and makes it easy.
Don’t you just love this little quilt? You’ll find complete directions in Kristyne’s book!
S is for Stitch answers all those embroidery questions you might have, like how to knot the floss, what kind of scissors to use, to hoop or not hoop? I loved the “how to” section with its color photos and great directions. If you don’t know how to do the quilter’s knot, this book show will show you how, and I love her tips for working with embroidery floss.
You could win a copy of S is for Stitch. The deadline to enter is April 4th 2013 and all you have to do is leave a comment on this post. I’ll pick a random winner on April 4th and C & T publishing will send the winner a copy of Kristyne’s book. If you live outside the U.S. you’ll win an e-book version.
Here’s the list of the blogs on the tour and you can enter to win at each blog. If you haven’t had a chance to visit Kristyne’s blog, Pretty by Hand, be sure and stop by and say hello.

I have heard so many wonderful things about this book! I am pretty basic when it comes to embroidery and would love to try some new things.
Thanks

This book looks wonderful! I love the idea of small projects so they get done…and wonder if this book could actually teach me to make a French knot. Somehow mine never work!
