Good Books to Read
I love to curl up with a good mystery book and I’ve been reading some really good ones lately.
To those of you who told me about the J.D. Robb books, I can’t thank you enough. The only problem is, now I’m addicted. I’ve read them ALL and I can’t wait for new ones. When I hear she has a new book coming out, I schedule it into my calendar so I won’t forget. I was so excited when I saw her latest book, Calculated in Death! I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a good book and worth reading. Give me more books with her main character, Eve Dallas, and I’ll be so happy.
If you’re a Lisa Gardner fan she has a great new book out called Touch and Go. This one kept me riveted on the pages and I couldn’t put it down. I read it over a weekend. I love her books and I rate Touch and Go among her best. The story grabs you and you have to keep reading to find out what’s going to happen. It’s right up there with The Perfect Husband, also by Lisa Gardner.
Next, I read James Patterson’s new book, Alex Cross, Run. Not one of my favorites because some of James Patterson’s books are so “out there”. Even so, I still find myself reading them because I like the Alex Cross character, just not all the story plots.
And finally, I’m into another series that I just love! I’m reading all the Maisie Dobbs books by Jacqueline Winspear. I started with the first one last week, printed out a list so I could go in order, and now I’m reading the third book. Seven more to, go so if you happen to run into Jacqueline (she lives in California I think), please don’t be afraid to beg her for more books. Don’t you love it when you find a series so good, you can’t wait for more? I was just on Jacqueline Winspear’s Facebook page and read that March is Maisie Dobb’s month! Jacqueline just published her 10th book in this series and she’s also started a blog called Maisie Dobbs. I’m going to love reading the rest of the Maisie Dobb’s books!
I’ll be back tomorrow to tell you about a new quilting book by Kristyne Czepuryk, called S is for Stitch. I love everything she does so be sure and check out her blog, Pretty by Hand.
Happy Reading everyone!
