Prairie Cloth & “S is for Stitch”
I’ve added a new fabric to the website called Prairie Cloth. If you haven’t tried stitching, cross stitching, or wool applique on Prairie Cloth, you’re in for a treat! It’s a wonderful, slightly coarse cloth, that looks like linen and runs about half the price. It’s 100% cotton and comes in many different colors. Can you see the texture of it in the photos below?
I think you’ll like working with Prairie Cloth, but remember it ravels a bit. If you have a serger, just serge the edges before you start your project. You’ll find 6 colors of Prairie Cloth along with the Jumbo Ric Rac for my new patterns on our website..
If you’re looking for some new things to stitch on Prairie Cloth, try the book “S is for Stitch” by Krityne Czepuryka aka “Pretty by Hand” . Her book is filled with ideas for embroidery that would be perfect stitched up on this yummy fabric. Join us over the next week for the “S is for Stitch” blog hop and you’ll not only get some great ideas, you could also win a copy of her wonderful book .
Here’s the lineup for the “S is for Stitch” blog hop. It starts today so have fun!

Prarie Cloth looks yummy to stitch on Ann. I will definately check out your colors. Cute book too! I bet there are many “stitching hours” from the book. It’s on my list to purchase. Thx!

Is it the same thing I might have used years ago for counted cross stitch (back when my eyes were better)?

Would prairie cloth be OK to use in a quilt?
