Quilts

Do you love a great mystery?

Welcome to week three of the 2013 Fat Quarter Shop, Designer Mystery Blog Tour.  This week features the flower row!

Designer Mystery

I love mysteries of any kind and when the Fat Quarter Shop asked me to design a block for their mystery quilt, I said count me in!   I’m keeping company this week with Barb and Mary from Me and My Sister and Karla, Susan and Lisa, the Sweetwater girls!   We’ve all designed flower blocks using Fig Tree’s wonderful new line “Avalon”.   Featuring shades of green, aqua,  red, yellow and a beautiful navy Joanna added; Avalon is perfect for this quilt.

I think you’ll love this quilt so be sure and sign up at The Fat Quarter Shop.  Each month you’ll get a block in the mail, designed by one of the Moda designers, and the Avalon fabric to make it. What fun!   Here’s a little sneak peek…

Since we’re featuring flowers  this week, Kimberly asked us to tell you to about our favorite bouquet.  Well, because I love gardening this was easy!   Roses are my passion and each year I add 2 or 3 new plants to the mix.  Garden roses have their own special look that you can’t get from a florist.   I love a simple bouquet from the garden.   Just look at the pink tinge to the petals!  Can’t you just smell the roses?

Garden Roses

Have a great week everyone.  I’ve been working on 8 new wool patterns and I’m almost finished.    They should be arriving from the printer this week!   I’ll keep you posted.

Back soon,

Anne

I am loving your bouquet of garden roses … so old fashioned and natural looking. I would love to know where you found that beautiful jar used for the vase !

An eautiful quilt in progress, but your roses are Gorgeous. So how many rose bushes do you have?
Maybe this summer when they are in bloom, you would share a photo of some of them in your yard.

Looking forward to your new wool patterns, too. I know they are going to be amazing!!
