• On my iPad

I finished all of the JD Robb “In Death” series books.  Thanks to all of you, because I never would have known about this series if you hadn’t recommend it.   I read every single one, including her newest!  As far as I’m concerned J.D. Robb can’t write them fast enough.  Once you start with these books you can’t stop and now that I’ve finished them I’m going through withdrawal.   Currently on my iPad is a series of Louise Penny books, the chief inspector Gamache novels.  I started with “A Fatal Grace” (should have started with “Still Life” but didn’t know it was the first in the series) and…

  • Holly Hill

This week has just flown by.  Just as I put the newsletter out last Monday,  Kim (she’s the one who personally takes care of all of you) came down with the stomach flu.  We were doing fine until about 1PM and then this awful bug hit…it took her down for the week. Robin and I are keeping our fingers crossed that we’ve killed this bug with Lysol.   I’ve sprayed everything I can think of and so far so good.  I hope none of you have had this bug.  I got my flu shot but I’m not sure this is what they consider the actual flu. When Kim comes back tomorrow…

Chloe is waiting to go home with one of you.  I finally time to pick the winner this morning (actually, I let random.org pick the winner). #23 is Liz Morgan!  Liz, Chloe will be coming to you this week.  She’s got some great signatures and I hope you enjoy her! Moda won best booth! The competition at quilt market is fierce.  It takes a ton of creativity and teamwork to pull together a winning booth and Moda did it!   This trailer was part of the booth and it was so darn cute!  The curtains and accessories were made from “Glamping” by Mary Jane Butters of Mary Jane’s Farm . …

  • Quilt Market 2012

I’m back from market, home safe and sound. My heart goes out to my friends and customers who worried about getting home and what would be there when they did.  Many were stranded in Houston waiting for “Sandy” to pass and airports to re-open.  To each of you I hope you’ve made it home to family and friends. The Bunny Hill booth was decorated in pink, mauve and grey with yellow chicks for Easter.  My first two visitors were Rachel Griffith and Julie Herman.  These two make any market fun.  I’ve known them since the start of the Moda Bake Shop and now they’ve each gone on to become book…
