On my iPad
I finished all of the JD Robb “In Death” series books. Thanks to all of you, because I never would have known about this series if you hadn’t recommend it. I read every single one, including her newest! As far as I’m concerned J.D. Robb can’t write them fast enough. Once you start with these books you can’t stop and now that I’ve finished them I’m going through withdrawal.
Currently on my iPad is a series of Louise Penny books, the chief inspector Gamache novels. I started with “A Fatal Grace” (should have started with “Still Life” but didn’t know it was the first in the series) and almost gave up on the book because the first 4 chapters jumped around a bit too much for me. It didn’t grab me until Gamache entered the story. I’m enjoying the books and I’ll be reading”The Cruellest Month” on the plane to Portland. There are more books in this series so I can keep going for awhile! Again, I’d never have known about this series if you hadn’t recommended it.
I’ve created a section under “Categories” on the side column of my blog called “Books To Read”. So many of you contributed to my reading list through your comments I thought I should save them for future reading. What I didn’t realize is that once a post is listed under “Categories” the comments disappear and all of your suggestions are no longer there.
The good news is that I started a list from your suggestions and I saved it. It’s in random order with some of your comments added in, so please forgive the layout. If you search for a new books to read like I do, you’ll find suggestions in this PDF.
Books to read from my blog readers
If you’ve read something else that should be on the list, let me know.
Enjoy your week!

Hi Anne, try listening to her J.D. Robb books…it’s amazing when the characters come to life. Nora Roberts has one of the best readers out there. You can download the audiobook through the library and it’s great to listen and quilt at the same time.

I have found the Matthew Shardlarke Series written by English author C J Sansom
fantastic. Historical murder mysteries. Dissolution, Dark Fire, Sovereign, Revelation and
Heartstone. A real page turner and hard to put down.
Cheers

I read the 1st Louise Penny book, then took out the 2nd book and the librarian told me that the first 2 are good , but the books get really, really good with the 3rd book. AND she told me she was quite in love with Gamache. So hang in there – isn’t reading fun? And all the suggestions from your readers is so great! Thank you to all!
