Three Days in Paris
3 days in Paris, 3 whole days! We walked along the River Seine starting at Notre Dame during a Sunday morning service and ending our walk near the Eiffel Tower. It was a day of Paris heaven!
The weather was beautiful and the scenes so French! We took our time and enjoyed every minute. Can you imagine living in apartments that overlook the river? There were so many of them, dressed in their beautiful shades of ivory, with gray roofs. Oh Paris, you really are a beautiful city!
We saw a huge group of people on a sponsored “walk”. We never figured out what the walk was for, but it was still exciting! The walkers were followed by police on horseback. I wonder if any of them think about how lucky they are to live in such a beautiful city. Wouldn’t you love to be able to view your own city through the eyes of someone seeing it for the first time?
Paris is for shopping and there’s nothing quite like it. Flea markets, little shops filled with treasures just waiting to be found, and gourmet delights around every corner!
It can be sunny one minute and then the next minute the clouds move in and it pours rain. I saw Paris in the rain, watching from a cozy corner of a local Bistro, sipping Cappuccino. Since we didn’t have umbrellas it was nice to be sitting under an awning. It didn’t take longer than 45 minutes and the rain stopped and all the umbrellas were gone!
Believe it or not we saw quite a few PINK cars in Europe! Pink! I fell in love when I saw this little Vespa! There she was in all her glory, the Mona Lisa of scooters just parked on the street. I stood in awe and it took a moment to catch my breath!
And this was our view across from our hotel! The Pantheon!

Next we took the Eurotrain from Paris to London and spent 3 days touring the Cotswalds! Did you know there’s a Cath Kidston store in the Cotswalds?
Back soon!
Hugs,
Anne

Oh, how lucky you are to have gotten to visit Paris. I think my husband and I decided that is our 5 year trip plan. Both of my kids want to go too. I told them to start saving their money.
I am curious. You said Paris is a city of shopping. How were the prices compared to ours here in America?
