Cherry Blossom Time

It’s cherry blossom time and the area I live in is in full bloom.  Mother nature is putting on a show!

Amazing how beautiful it is right now.

To think that in a few months these blossoms will be cherries.  People will come from all over to pick the sweet fruit.  The farmers will open fruit and vegetable stands, and fresh produce will be sold, picked fresh from the earth.

Mother nature knows what to do.  She provides us with sweet, sweet treats.

The area I live in is new housing, surrounded by old farms. Farms with freshly ploughed rows of earth and beautiful rows of trees. It’s inspiring just to see it!

My assistant Brigette,  knows most of the farmers in this area.  We’ve promised ourselves some field trips as the fruit grows and the fields ripen.  We’ll bring you with us!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful Sunday.  Can’t believe a week has gone by!  I loved watching Julie and Julia last week.  Loved it!  Meryl Streep deserves an award for best actress, she played the part so well.  A++ for Julie & Julia.  I loved reading all your comments about the movie.  Tell me what you think I should watch next!  I just ordered “Love Happens”.  Have you seen it?

(BIG sigh …..) Oh how pretty …. and fresh …. and SPRINGY !!! We’re still buried in snow and blah here on the east coast .

Let’s see …. movies ….. hmmmmm (I’m in the minority at my house …. teenage boys … so it is a RARE occasion that I get to pick a movie ….. anyhow “The Proposal” with Sandra Bullock was a fun one …. and the only fairly new movie I’ve seen recently.)

Oh YUM!!! Cherry Blossoms mean my favorite fruit is on the way!!!! I am IN LOVE with cherries!! You will have to take lots of lovely pics of those cherries when there are baskets and basket of them to enjoy! BLISS!

As to a movie suggestion, this came out a few months ago, but I loved “Accidental Husband”. I may even purchase it. It was a good sewing movie…..you know, funny-sweet love story, no blood and gore, language was not real bad, and didn’t make me cry. Usually I reserve the category of “good sewing movie” for period pieces, but this one fit the criterion well.

You may like “Bright Star”. It had it’s definite good points but was rather slow. I kind of did a review of it on my blog. It is a period movie and the heroine of the story is a seamstress.
    Have a beautiful day Anne

What a lovely look into spring. I am waiting for the Carolina Red Buds to burst into bloom – they are by far my favorite (with dogwoods a close second behind them). Meanwhile, one more round of snow according to this mornings weather – possible Tuesday/Wednesday timeframe. Maybe this will be the last one.
