• Sugarberry

If you crave a bit of Winter sweetness, Sugarberry is my next fabric line for Moda! The Moda reps are showing Sugarberry to quilt shops now, and you’ll be able to find it in April 2023! The colors are similar to The Flower Farm, but I like to refer to The Flower Farm as a “sweet” fabric and Sugarberry as a “pretty” fabric in style. Sugarberry is a line that works for almost any season. I’ve selected Christmas, but I can’t help but think of how pretty it would be for Valentine’s day or spring projects.     Are you ready for some Sugarberry Fabric close-ups? These are the different…

  • Let’s make this!

The angels are here, and the countdown to Christmas officially begins at Bunny Hill!   Our Christmas fabric, I Believe in Angels, has shipped, and I hope you are ready for some fun! Just look at these prints! Don’t you feel like Christmas will be sweet this year? I’m ready for a few Christmas angels in my life, and I hope you are too! One of my favorite quilts from this line is the one with the same name as the fabric, I Believe in Angels. It’s a quilt that makes me smile and brings joy to my heart.  Here’s a little behind-the-scenes story:   As I worked through the design of…

  • Embroidery becomes applique

I’ve never thought about taking an embroidery pattern and doing it in applique. But, after seeing these blocks from @sew_serenakim, I can’t imagine why I haven’t! Serena took the “I Believe in Snowmen” embroidery blocks and made them in applique!  Just look how cute these are… This is one of those moments where you say, why didn’t I think of that?  She’s made me want to make this quilt one more time, or maybe a smaller version of *I Believe in Snowmen”.   This pattern was discontinued, but I just found two boxes of patterns, so I’ve added them back to our website.  There’s still time if you’re feeling creative! Great…

  • Crystal Lane is here!

Happy New Year, everyone! We’ve made it through another year, and to say I’m excited about 2022 would be an understatement. Don’t you love it when one year ends and we can start fresh in a new year? Guess what? Crystal Lane is finally here, and if you’re partial to all things blue and white like I am, then you’ll have the perfect excuse for some January sewing. Welcome, Crystal Lane! Maybe I should remind everyone what Crystal Lane looks like! It’s been so long you may have forgotten. Here’s the main print in my Crystal Lane line, and this one also happens to be my favorite. I try and…

  • Happy 4th!

I love the July 4th weekend, don’t you?  It gives us extra time to sew, and more time to celebrate with family.  Yesterday I made potato salad, enough to last through the weekend.  Add a few burgers and we’re good to go.  That should keep hubby happy and give me more time at the machine! I’m making little tags, from my Prairie Days tag fabric and I’ll be stitching them into the binding or seams of all my USA projects!  Handmade tags for my handmade gifts!  You can make them too as soon as this fabric arrives. By this time next year, I hope you’ll have made a 4th of…

  • Snow Birds, Freezy and Winter Wishes

When I began working on my Crystal Lane quilt, I researched “Winter” critters on Google.  I was looking for the ones that brave the cold, snow, and don’t mind a few icicles.  The ones that survive those freezing temps.  I found some pretty cute winter critters, but I fell in love when I saw the Snowy Owl. I can tell by looking at these owls they are very wise.  No bird brains here, so to speak. You’ll find a few of these owls on my Crystal Lane quilt.  I just couldn’t resist. Snow Birds I’ve also featured these owls on a mini quilt I’m calling Snow Birds. Snow Birds finishes…
