• Marcel meet Rudy

There I was taking photos of Rudy, my latest Petite pattern. Rudy’s getting ready for market, and a few friends joined him… Poor Rudy, it’s getting a bit crowded around here…   But there’s always room for one more don’t you think? Especially for a black cat named Marcel! Wish I could fit him in my suitcase! Rudy and I are leaving for Houston today and Marcel has to stay home.   Poor Marcel!  I’m sure he’d be a hit at market. Hugs, Anne

  • Packing my suitcase

Thought you might enjoy a peek at what’s going in my suitcase when I leave for Houston this Thursday! I Believe in Snowmen is my newest block of the month,  and it’s flying with me to market. With pieced blocks, redwork embroidery and applique combined, this quilt is really fun to make! I’ll be telling you all about it at Quilt Market and sharing some embroidery tips. New things are always so much fun! Back soon with more, Anne

  • Looks like peppermint candy!

Are you ready?  I’ve got a surprise for you! Introducing WINTER WONDERLAND, my newest fabric line for Moda. In red & white bundles, jelly rolls, charm packs and mini charms I think you’re going to love it. At the bottom of the fat quarter bundle you’ll find the cutest Snowman panels! I’ve been busy making quilts with this line and now I’m finishing up patterns.  It’s been so much fun!   I’ll give you some sneak peeks soon. I’m taking time to visit PIQF (Pacific International Quilt Show) in Santa Clara tomorrow.   Can’t wait to see all of the quilts! Have a great weekend everyone. Anne

  • Sign of the Times

For years I’ve collected the back issues of Victoria Magazine, searching eBay for issues, and finally happy to say I think I have them all.  Two full shelves dedicated to these magazines, neatly organized in boxes by year. This week as I was flipping through the latest issue of Victoria guess what I saw?  You can now buy a set of 2 DVD’s with all the back issues of Victoria.  Every single issue and the ability to search by subject, article , name etc. Two full shelves of magazines or 2 little DVD’s?  People tell me it’s not the same as flipping through the actual magazine, and then I keep…

  • Working on new things

It’s almost October and that means Quilt market is right around the corner.  Deadlines are keeping me busy now and I’m working on six new patterns for my next Moda fabric line.   Here’s a little hint about my new line called Winter Wonderland…one of the fabrics in the line is called Truckin’.  Yes, sweet Bunny Hill said Truckin’ and I’ve got a pattern coming to go with it.  I’ve had so much fun with this fabric I can’t wait to show you.  I’ll giving some sneak peeks before too long! Be sure and check the sale section on our website as I’ll be adding to it over the next month.   …

  • Transfer Paper

If you read my newsletter you might have noticed the little pillows I made using my grand-daughter’s drawings.  Fortunately she doesn’t follow this blog because these are a Christmas surprise. I used this Transfer Artist Paper to transfer her artwork to fabric. She’s done so many cute drawings it was hard to choose… You can easily transfer images by scanning with an ink jet printer or tracing with a fine point marker.  Cut out close to images and iron onto fabric. One little present done.   You’ll find the transfer paper on our website.  Be sure and check out the “sale” section too.   We’re clearing out notions at 50%…
