• 101 Maple Street

Blend shades of persimmon, bronze, charcoal, and gold, then mix with cream and aqua and you’ll have Fall fabrics Bunny Hill style!  Welcome to 101 Maple Street! Mix them all up, add in some Moda basics and you’ve got 101 Maple Street my newest applique quilt! We got the advance yardage about 3 weeks ago from Moda, and my helpers were ready.  We had all the freezer paper templates cut ahead of time so we could start the applique prep right away.  The quilt just left Bunny Hill yesterday and should arrive at the quilter today!  101 Maple Street is scheduled to go to Quilt Market with me in Portland…

  • Peeps help me design

Yesterday my husband bought me my favorite Easter treat!  PEEPS!  Two packages of yellow chicks.  I consumed one box right away, I just couldn’t help myself.  I’m trying to have control with the other package, make myself eat only one at a time, ok two at a time, but at least sit down at my desk and eat them slowly.  It’s really tough!  I love these little things, and I only get them once a year!  The thing no one knows is that Peeps actually help me design!  They’re my comfort candy.  And I’ve been doing a LOT of designing.  It’s a good thing the stores are filled with Peeps!  …

Cottontail Cottage Quilt Cottontail Cottage is also the name of my next block of the month quilt.  I’ll be showing you bits and pieces of this beautiful quilt as we make the sample for fall market.  I have to say this quilt just makes me happy! The house fabric was designed for lots of fussy cutting!  Don’t you love how it looks in this 2″ square? Cottontail Cottage…

  • Designer Mystery has me dreaming of far away places

Take 12 Moda designers, add some Moda fabric, ask each designer to design a block and what do you get?  It’s another wonderful, cute,  fabulous Designer Mystery Quilt that you’ll find at The Fat Quarter Shop! Rows of houses and snowmen.  It’s such a cute quilt, and I designed one of the blocks for it.  As the mystery unfolds, you’re going to be glad you joined, because the finished quilt is adorable!  You’ll be able to use it the entire winter, and if I were making the quilt I’d be sure to personalize it for my family.  Embroider house numbers, street names, or family names on each block and you’ve got a quilt your family…

  • We have two winners!

Apparently a lot of you liked the pink bowls!  They are really pretty, I agree, and I’m excited to be giving them away.  Some of you sent me emails because you couldn’t find where to leave a comment, but don’t worry, I assigned each of you a number and added you to the total. Winner #1 1st winner from the Random Number Generator,  is Diane, #165 who said: May 7, 2013 at 7:53 pm “Rose is my name and one of my favorite flowers! And PINK is my favorite color! Pick me! Pick me!” Diane, there must be something lucky about the last name Rose!  Hope your garden is full…
