• Henrietta is Back!

It’s March 5th can you believe it?  Henrietta’s back in block number 3 of my Henrietta Whiskers mystery quilt.  She’s been working away to entice you to join us!  How can you resist those little acorns in her cart?  I can’t wait to show you how she looks when she’s quilted!  She left for the quilter yesterday and she’ll be home before too long.  I’ll update you with the photos of the quilted blocks as soon as I have them! The fabric for Henrietta, Lilac Hill and Antique Fair should be in quilt shops soon, if not already!  I know it seems like it’s taking forever, but at least you’ve…

  • Who’s that Squirrel? It’s Henrietta Whiskers!

Let’s have some fun!  Join me in the Henrietta Whiskers Club! Can you imagine a cute little squirrel with a winning personality?  I can, and I’ve put her in my newest applique quilt!  It’s Henrietta and she’s so excited to be here!  She’s the new Bunny Hill free block of the month for 2011!   I just hope all this attention doesn’t go to her head.   I can’t imagine that it will because she’s just so sweet. It’s been a little over a year since my “Name That Squirrel” contest;  November 2009 to be exact.  Twila Dockter from South Dakota was the winner of the contest and the name she…

  • Behind the quilts

Have you seen these pictures?  Design photos!    When I design a quilt I take photos as I go along.  Photos help me see the blocks in another dimension.  It’s kind of like holding your work up to a mirror and looking at it in reverse.  Try it and you’ll see what I mean.  If something is wrong you should be able to spot it. Remember Yoyoville? I filled glass candy jars with my yoyo’s as I went along.  It was fun to do and I fell in love with the look of the jars.  When it came time to put them on the quilt I really had to force…

  • It’s finally a Quilt!

Snowmen are coming to town this holiday season!   It’s Snowbound time at Bunny Hill!  There’s nothing like finishing a quilt and being able to finally use it!  If you’ve joined me in making Snowbound, I hope you’ll enjoy yours as much as I’m enjoying mine! I’ve gathered up a few of my favorite snowmen and Snowbound is hanging in my dining room for the holidays.  Come on in! They key to a good display is to vary the height. You can easily create height with a few empty boxes, some scraps of your favorite quilting fabric, ribbon and pins.  You can reuse the fabric after Christmas so don’t worry about…

  • I’m Thankful for…

I’m thankful for all of you this Thanksgiving day!  Thank you to each and every one of you who read my blog and make my designs.  I am so grateful to have you in my life. As I look back through photos you’ve sent over the past year, I’m amazed at what you do and how creative you are as quilters! Please enjoy these photos from 2009, A Tisket A Tasket! Enjoy even more photos on my Flickr group! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I can’t wait to see what you do with Snowbound! Hugs, Anne

  • Fall Quilt Market

The only thing I don’t like about Fall market is the timing.  It always seems to fall over Halloween and many of us don’t get to see our kids or grand-kids dressed in all their glory.  Of course at Moda they try and make us feel like family, so we had some trick or treating going on right at market! Debbie, (chief of all things patterns) was so cute.  There I was telling her how I’d have everything ready early for spring market and she just cracked up laughing! She threatens me every year because I’m late getting things to her, but even dressed up like a witch she’s really…
