The idea for Twinkle Toes started the day my grand-daughter Alyssa came running up to my studio to show me her new pointe shoes. She could hardly wait to put them on! She’d worked so hard and waited so long to get these shoes. The shoes were magical and her excitement was contagious! Applique Basics
When Aurifil introduced their new 80wt. thread for applique, Kimberly (Fat Quarter Shop) and I, decided it was a great time to bring you some applique fun using this wonderful thread! Over the next few months The Jolly Jabber blog will be featuring posts on applique, every other Thursday, starting today! The Merci La Vie Quilt
Writing about the Merci La Vie quilt gives me an overwhelming feeling of emotion. Each time I think of the special ladies who worked on this quilt I realize what a special place in my heart they each hold. Traveling with Applique
I was asked by Moda to share any tips I had on traveling with applique. This really got me thinking, and I realized I hadn’t shared with you the applique travel case a friend made for me! I use this case so much it’s become a part of me. It goes to the Dr’s office, the dentist, car rides and quilt shops with me. It’s well traveled and very familiar with airplanes.
