The longest contest in blog history!
It’s been two months since I started my “guess the theme of my newest block of the month” contest. It’s about time to announce the winner don’t you think? I had to make sure the prize included the pattern AND bundles of my newest fabric line Lily & Will II. Finally everything is ready and we have a winner! I printed out your emails as they came in with the correct answer and this morning I randomly picked a lucky winner! Here’s the grand prize! Did I mention it includes some Cath Kidston sewing tins? And here’s the winner! Nancy Brooks who gave me this guess on August 29th: “Anne…OK…

It’s October!
Christmas has arrived at Bunny Hill! Well, at least “The Night Before Christmas”! Did you know that this was the poem that changed the way we think of Santa Claus? “The Night Before Christmas” brought us Santa’s mode of transportation, how he looks and even the names of his reindeer! Clement Moore originally wrote it for his children! Imagine having a father who could write poems like this! And now almost 200 years later it’s still a universal poem that children love to hear! So many variations of this poem have been published over the ages. Hard to know exactly what the original poem was. One thing for sure; Santa’s bag…

What on earth is a critter?
Hummm what kind of critter do you think I might have on my new Christmas quilt? Could it be a possum with her babies? Or how about a camel? Or a tiger might be nice! Truth is some of you have already guessed it! You’re so smart and you know who you are! Here’s a “little” hint just in case you haven’t gotten that email from me yet. Critter… what do you consider a critter? Hope you enjoy these wonderful drawings from my Grand-daughter Michaela. She’s an artist in the making! Back soon, Anne

The Yellow House
This was one of those houses that just made me swoon. If you visit the Cotswolds in England, and you drive the country roads you might find it. It has to be one of a kind and the story of the house will remain a mystery. I’m not sure I could find it again; too many country roads going in too many directions. I wanted so much to know the history. Who lives here and how many families have lived here before them? How old is the house? Has it always been the palest of yellows? What stories can it tell, this beauty of a house! I spent Saturday with this house, but…

I Led You Astray!
Remember the days before the dog photos? They days when I was giving you hints about my newest block of the month? If you guess the theme of the Christmas block of the month I’m working on, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a nice prize. It might even include some Cath Kidston treats I picked up in Europe! I led you astray with the pink featherweight post. It wasn’t on purpose! Really! When I read your comments I had to laugh. Someone started talking about a pink Christmas and the next thing I knew you were all going down that path! ( Can’t imagine why you think I’d put pink in one of my quilts!) Well…
