My Redwork Garden
Welcome to My Redwork Garden, my newest fabric line for Moda It’s one of my favorite fabric lines I’ve designed. I had so much fun working with this fabric I could have kept going and going! As it turns out we have 9 new patterns coming your way and I had to stop because I ran out of time. My newest block of the month quilt My Redwork Garden is a sampler quilt that is so much fun to make! With pieced, applique, and embroidered blocks there’s something for everyone. You’ll meet Millicent Mouse in three of the embroidered blocks. Inspired by an antique 1927 children’s book she’s a “girly” mouse…

Staging Those On a Roll Quilts
Have you ever thought about what it takes to get those photos when you look at a quilt book? I think one of the hardest things to do is “stage” the photos. Think about it, for On-A Roll, there were 14 different Moda designers, 14 different quilts and 14 different styles. Each designer sent a quilt and Martingale had to pull them all together for the book. Thank goodness for the creative professionals that work there. They are the ones who deserve a thank you for making us look good! I think my favorite picture in the Moda All-Stars On a Roll book is the photo of the quilt by Janet Clare (page 46). …

Jelly Roll Chickens etc.
Who doesn’t love a jelly roll? The whole process of cutting the fabric and rolling it amazes me, and when I have one in my hands, I love the way it looks. If you love Jelly Rolls too you’re going to love the new Moda All-Stars book! Moda All-Stars On Roll ships tomorrow, March 15th. And once again the royalties from another Moda All-Stars book go to a charity. All the royalties from On A Roll are donated to School on Wheels (SchoolOnWheels.org). There’s everything in this book from my Jelly Roll chickens, Stacy Lest Hsu’s butterflies, to Barb & Mary’s One Roll Wonder and Sweetwater’s Square Dance. There are 14 quilts…

New Patterns Are Here!
I’m excited to announce that our newest patterns are now in stock on my website. You’ll find them under “what’s new.” You can start preparing your applique templates before the fabric arrives in April, but remember if you’ve purchased a kit, the pattern is included. I can’t believe how long it’s taken to bring you these patterns. I designed Merry Merry Snow Days in December of 2017, and here we are with patterns finally in stock. Fabric and kits are due to ship in April! From start to finish it takes at least a year. ⠀ I hope you can see the quilting that Becky Hubel did on this quilt. It’s perfect…

Our January Sale!
Happy New Year! I don’t know about you, but I always take some time the first week of January to clean out and re-distribute. It feels so good to go through things and think about what I might need for future projects and what can be donated. My studio can quickly become a mess after one series of patterns finishes up and another one begins. I’m still working on my patterns for Merry Merry Snow Days, but they are close to being finished! I finally got photos taken just before Christmas, thanks to my photographer Gregory Case. I hope you can see how cute this one looks! My quilter, Becky Hubel, did an amazing job! Once…

The night before christmas
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house… Not a creature was stirring… Wait, what? Does she really think we’ll fall for that old story again? She can’t really believe we’re not going to wake up when Santa comes! I’ve been here the longest and I’m telling you he can’t sneak past me! I’ll be waiting up for the cookies! Merry Christmas everyone from the Bunny Hill gang!
