• Have you seen this ad?

Have you seen this ad in the latest issue of McCall’s Magazine?  It’s from Shabby Fabrics and it’s for my “Rabbits Prefer Chocolate” block of the month! Jennifer at Shabby Fabrics used “Astor Manor” from Moda fabrics and remade this quilt.  Her version looks so much like my original I just can’t believe it! Many of you already made this quilt, but for those who missed it you have a second chance! Here’s my original “Rabbits Prefer Chocolate”! And here’s Jennifer’s! I think it’s amazing that the fabrics match so well.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen this done before.  “Rabbits Prefer Chocolate”, revisited. I leave for Germany tomorrow.  Maybe…

  • Snowbound in June?

These are such happy little snowmen!  I think they’re having a party!  Why a party?  Well, we’re 1/2 way through our quilt, AND in some areas of the US it’s still been snowing!  Snow means happy snowmen no doubt about it. It snowed in Oregon while we were at market, and when we flew home over Denver we saw tons of white, beautiful snow.  It’s June and somewhere it’s still snowing.  I can tell just from looking at these little guys. We’re on block number six can you believe it! Where on earth has the year gone?  Do you realize we’ll be thinking about Christmas before long?  Don’t worry, you’ll…

  • Giving away some fabric!

I’m giving away some fabric today!  I tired to get the “girls” to co-operate with the drawing!  First Mooch came up… Then Chelsea & Bitsy… It was so early they just wanted to go back to bed.  Not early risers at all but aren’t they cute?  So off I went to Random.org and generated some numbers!  Here we go are you ready? #318,  Laura T!  Laura the blue is coming your way for those two new grand-babies!  Both boys!!! #21 Donna L in Florida who wants the pink!  Donna, you’ll be seeing lots of pink very soon! #13 Sherri, who said the green was her favorite!  Sherri, that yummy green…

  • Fabric from Sample Spree

It’s June 1st and I can hardly believe it!  I leave for Germany next week for my son’s wedding!  In just seven more days I’ll be on my first trip to Europe.  I just couldn’t be more excited!  When I think of all the things I need to get done before I leave it’s a little overwhelming, but it’s like that before any trip don’t you think?  I have lists of things to take care of before I leave, and getting on that airplane will seem so unreal to me!  I’ve never been to Europe so I have no idea what to expect! Bunny Hill will still be open, orders…

  • Welcome To Our Family

“Welcome to our family”!  Those are THE most wonderful words you can ever hear at a quilt market and the owner of the boots you saw in the last picture said them to me!  Me!!!  The boots came all the way from Dallas of course and belong to Mr. Mark Dunn, the President and owner of Moda Fabrics! And those cute little black sandals belong to Cheryl Freydberg, the Design Director of Moda Fabrics! Moda is amazing, the people are so warm and friendly, and the company?  Well, we all love Moda Fabric don’t we? If you’d like to know more about how Moda operates you can watch this  video…

  • Quilt Market Spring 2010

So many things happen in the three days of quilt market it’s impossible to capture it all.   After hundreds of pictures, hugs, handshakes, laughs, late nights, hard work and just pure fun it all becomes a bit of a blur combined into pure joy and so many blessings. Minneapolis you were charming!  You greeted us with open arms and it was delightful to visit your beautiful city.   The skyline at night was breathtaking.  I never had my camera with me at night so I’ll have to see if I can find a photo from someone else.  Looking up at the night sky, surrounded by the most beautiful tall buildings was…
