• Snow Happy Hearts are back

Many of you have already made these hearts, but if you missed Snow Happy Hearts in 2018, we’ve made them available again.   Just in time for some Christmas sewing, you can choose the ones you love best or purchase the complete set of twelve.  These are downloadable PDF patterns.  There’s a snowman for every month of the year, and together, they make the cutest set of ornaments!  You can decorate a tree, garland, or wreath, give them as gifts, use them as party favors, fill a glass bowl for a table centerpiece, or dress up a table by putting one at each place setting. For the snowmen, we used Primitive…

  • Merry Merry Snow Days Block Two, part one

I took more pictures of this block than any other.  It has the most “parts,” and I thought if I could get you through this block, you’d be home free!  Here’s the beautiful photo that was taken by my photographer Gregory Case. See the snowmen on the right?  He’s so busy listening to rap music with his headphones, he dropped his skis!  Don’t worry, they do NOT hit the baby llama on the bottom. They hit the ground behind the little llama and just scare him a bit. So let’s get started on block two, part one!  I’m going to break this post into two parts.  Part one is today,…

  • Snowmen are made for wool

You know, don’t you, that I’ve got this thing for wool?   I don’t want you to think I’m giving up on fabric, because applique is my passion and I’ve got new patterns coming very soon.  It’s just fun to mix fabric and wool together sometimes, especially when those Moda designers keep coming up with such cute fabric. My booth happened to be right across from Lisa at Primitive Gatherings last market, so not only was I looking at wool all day, I was looking at her dang cute Snowman Gathering fabric!  Who could resist that combination? I took a jelly roll, charm pack and some of that fabulous yardage…

  • Rainy Days are for sewing

Happy Monday everyone! I’m off to teach at our local quilt shop Thimble Creek today.  We’re making wool snowmen pillows in January!  Unheard of you say?  Just think of the start these ladies will have.  Remember how fast last year flew by? Here’s our project for today…   Snowballs is a fun, quick and best of all EASY pattern!  You’ll find it here on my website.
