Photography Bug
I have the photography bug and if you own a digital SLR camera one of these days you’ll get it too. I don’t think I realized that behind the camera is me and I’m the one who determines how that photo will look! I always thought it was the camera. If you want to learn photography take an online class at Lynda.com. You’ll get an understanding of your camera, settings, lenses and so much more! Mooch has offered to demonstrate… Here’s the original photo shot in aperture priority so the background is blurred. Enlarge the photo and you’ll really be able to see! Here’s Mooch softened and cropped using Adobe…

Did you get what you wanted for Christmas?
Did you get what you wanted for Christmas? Mooch did! She got a pink catnip mouse and became a wild beast on Christmas Eve. It took her less than 1/2 hour to tear off the tail and pull out the stuffing. Catnip all over the floor and, after she was done rolling in it, all over the house! If you judge a good Christmas by the amount of laughter in the house, this year was a great one! My granddaughters and I made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for Christmas Eve dessert. I think there was more frosting on them than the cupcakes, but a lot of laughing…

Oh Those Bunny Hill Pets
Oh what I do to my pets. Life in the studio is fun every day thanks to them! Chelsea will do or try just about anything… She’ll even stand on the dreaded scale… no treats when she’s on this! Or sit in a bassinet! She picks many of the winners on my blog posts. She willing does this over… and over…. and over! Bitsy will dress for special occasions. She’s not crazy about it, but she’ll do it if it’s her birthday… …and I promise a little treat. Bitsy has that famous button on her back that I love so much! She’s so, so sweet! And Mooch arrived in my…

It’s almost Christmas! Are you ready?
I honestly don’t now where this month is going! Feels like it’s flying by! I desperately need more time!!! I have to fit in making cookies, our hometown parade, Granddaughter’s birthday, school play, time with friends, wrapping presents, shopping, and projects for January. Do you feel this way? It’s going way too fast, this month we call December. I’ve done as much decorating as I can this year. There’s just not enough time! I actually let my husband slip by without putting lights on the house! I must really be feeling rushed to let him out of that! Our tree stands in the center of the living room. My…

A few more Pets
Saturday is coming up fast and I’ll be announcing the winner of the “I love my pet contest”. Chelsea is ready, and she’s been practicing choosing a winner. She’s looked at all the photos, I’ve read her all the emails, and she’s more excited than you can imagine! Wait! What’s wrong here! She can’t be sleeping through all of this can she? This just can’t be happening. She has work to do! Don’t worry; she’ll wake up for a treat. She’s very fond of food as you can see. Our neighbor calls her Super Squirrel and I’m beginning to think the name fits. She’s about the right size and she’s…
