Humming-Bird Babies
I’ve had guests this year in the tree outside my studio window. A mother humming-bird has built a nest! She’s been the perfect guest, going to bed at dusk and not starting her day before dawn. Never complaining when we had torrents of rain and winds strong enough to blow over our fence. She laid two eggs and sat on them throughout all the storms. She’s a good mother and an amazing engineer. She built her nest in a “Y” branch of our tallest tree, with an umbrella of leaves over her head. Sign of the Times
For years I’ve collected the back issues of Victoria Magazine, searching eBay for issues, and finally happy to say I think I have them all. Two full shelves dedicated to these magazines, neatly organized in boxes by year. This week as I was flipping through the latest issue of Victoria guess what I saw? You can now buy a set of 2 DVD’s with all the back issues of Victoria. Every single issue and the ability to search by subject, article , name etc. Two full shelves of magazines or 2 little DVD’s? Project Runway Do you watch Project Runway? I tape all the shows just so I don’t miss one. If you were cheering for Michelle when she won Project Runway, you are not alone, and guess what? Valdani has more colors than you ever thought possible, breathtaking colors that make you want to own them even if you don’t stitch. Each new color is more lovely than the last. It’s like opening a huge box of crayons each time we get a delivery. Just look at these Valdani Pearl Cotton collections I added to the website. Aren’t they pretty? Weekend Projects
Do you have projects planned for this weekend? Seems like I’ve been waiting for a “free” weekend and now that it’s here I’m in heaven. I have so many projects I’ve wanted to get started on so I plan on sewing all weekend long. Speaking of sewing, it’s a great weekend to try a Scrappy Plate quilt block if you haven’t started yet. Once you make one, you’ll see how easy it is! Just go for it! Bitsy Says Thank You!
Bitsy says thank you to all of you who may have come to my blog sometime during the past few weeks to see if I’ve posted something new. Thank you for for being so patient when you saw her photo over and over. Thank you for understanding how busy her mom is, and how she just nevvvvvver lets her blog go this long unless she’s tethered to the computer.
