• Put 101 Maple Street on your calendar for August

Tomorrow (May 1)  is the last day to pre-order your 101 Maple Street quilt kit!  I have to get kit orders into Moda, and of course, I’ll order some extra, but there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get one if you don’t pre-order. Join in the fun of making this quilt, and you’ll get to meet Quilly and her babies.  Quilly isn’t a name I pulled out of thin air, it’s actually the name of a real baby quail my mother rescued and nursed back to health.  I remember she loved to take dirt baths (Quilly not my mother). You’ll also meet Henrietta again, and this time she’s gathering pomegranates.  She’s…

We got the advance yardage about 3 weeks ago from Moda, and my helpers were ready.  We had all the freezer paper templates cut ahead of time so we could start the applique prep right away.  The quilt just left Bunny Hill yesterday and should arrive at the quilter today!  101 Maple Street is scheduled to go to Quilt Market with me in Portland…

You’re probably not thinking about Halloween now, but I am.  Olivia made me do it!  I started wondering what she’d look like in Halloween fabric, maybe holding a candy bar… So we stitched up one Olivia and then had to stitch more.       Olivia would look pretty cute surrounded with pumpkins on your Halloween table and you’ve got plenty of time to make her. Here’s the best thing…the “Olivia” pattern and these bundles are on sale through August 7th, along with everything else on our website.  25% off when you enter the code Augustsale … you can save a bundle :>)

  • Halloween Fabric

Look at this yummy fabric I just got from Renee Nanneman of Need’l Love fame.   Candy Corn and Black Magic, two bundles on my design table now, thanks to her. I love it so much I almost hate to open the bundles, but I’ve been dreaming up some applique bats and this is the perfect fabric.  Hummm wonder what else I can dream up quickly.  It’ll be Halloween before we know it. Hugs, Anne
