Happy Monday!

Happy Monday everyone!   I had a great weekend and I hope you did too.  I spent the weekend coloring and it was so much fun!  I bought these markers awhile ago and this is the first time I’ve used them.  They provide a sea of smooth color for any design…

…I used them to color in samples for my new Spring fabric line.  It was exciting to see the new fabric come to life on paper.   I took a few of my new prints and cut them into applique designs to make sure they worked in a bunny body, a flower, stems etc. and now  I can’t wait to play around with this fabric.  It takes almost a year from start to finish so it will be awhile before you can buy this fabric but in the meantime I’ll be dreaming up new patterns to make with them!

Some excitement at Bunny Hill…I have a new assistant named Kim!  I think you’ll love her as much as I do because she is going to free me up for more blogging, help me with new projects and lots of fun things.   I’ve been without an assistant for the past 4 months so having Kim to help me is a dream come true!  Welcome Kim!

I took some time this weekend to visit my Henrietta Flickr group.  If you haven’t visited in awhile you are in for some wonderful surprises!  It will inspire you to start this quilt if you haven’t already.  There are so many creative quilters in this group from all over the world.  I just have to share Melody’s version with you…

I wanted to start making another Henrietta when I saw her out of Lily & Will!  Can you believe it?  Melody added the opposite color on the color wheel (orange) and it’s darling!  Just think, you can use Lily & Will for baby’s room and then make that baby an heirloom quilt to keep forever using the same fabrics.  Wouldn’t you love to pull this out when you’re say 30 and say “these are the fabrics from my room when I was a baby”?  Can you imagine?  Melody you are so creative and you just made my day!  Congratulations on such a darling quilt!  Head on over to check out the group and if you’re a member of Flickr leave a comment or two.  It’s really fun!

I’m off to take Chelsea for her morning walk…have a great day everyone!

Hugs,

Anne

Pat Sloan’s Radio goes to Quilt Market!

I adore Pat Sloan.  She’s made the quilting world so much fun by hosting her radio show every week.  She brings many different talents into our homes and makes us feel like we’re sitting right there with her!     American Patchwork and Quilting is now the sponsor of Pat’s show!  Congratulations Pat on such a winning combination!

Pat was at International Quilt Market in Salt Lake City this year and I had the honor of being interviewed by her!  Click on the photo, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the podcast with my name.  You’ll hear me, Kimberly Jolly from Fat Quarter Shop, Sandy Klop of American Jane and Patty Young of modkid!  You can sew away and listen to us talk…something we all love to do!

Now for some more fun!  I promised a giveaway and here it is!  You just might win some of my newest fabric line Puttin’ on the Ritz!

Just tell me what color of Puttin’ on the Ritz you’re dreaming about and you could win!  One of these bundles could be on the way to you Friday morning!

Hope you enjoy the radio show!  A big thank you to Pat Sloan!

Hugs,

Anne

Going to Sample Spree?

You find this fabric in Salt Lake City this week.   Puttin’ on the Ritz is debuting at Spring Market starting on Thursday night and bundles in pink, blue and gray just might be found on the sample spree tables.  It will be in good company along with lots of other fabulous Moda bundles!

If you’re attending Quilt Market stop by the Bunny Hill booth #1225 to say hello and see my new things.

See my  linen duvet cover made for princess!   Soft cotton/linen that looks vintage and feels like heaven.   Both little girls and big girls are going to love this one!  If you’ve shopped for bedding lately you know there’s not much variety out there.  Why not make your own?  I’ll have a pattern soon to make it “sew” easy!

I’ll also have beautiful bedding for the littlest prince or princess in your life.  Pink & gray or blue & gray I think you’ll love it!  Decorate your nursery in Ritz style!

How about soft yummy pillow ticking!   I love ticking and the decorator weight of this ticking is perfect.  It’s not stiff, just soft and cuddly.  Thank you Moda!

I even made my newest Petite lamb named “Lollipop” out of ticking!

I’m in love with  Puttin’ on the Ritz!  I’m going to use it in my own home to decorate a room.  I’ll bring you along!

Bunny Hill will be closed this next week so I can attend International Quilt Market.  Any orders will be filled after I get back.

While I’m gone I’ll post peeks of what Chelsea and Bitsy are so excited about!

Raining Cats & Dogs!  Coming soon!

We might be sewing some of it in the Bunny Hill Booth!

I’ll take lots of pictures to share when I get back.

Hugs,

Designer Cat

Excitement is running high this week at Bunny Hill!  Puttin’ on the Ritz advance yardage has arrived!

I don’t know who’s more excited about the arrival me or Mooch!  Mooch is really attracted to this fabric line and I think it might have something to do with the beautiful gray color.  As soon as I cut up some little squares she was right there in the middle of everything!

Here she is daring me to move her…

This is a cat’s life at Bunny Hill!

Did you know Mooch can read?

It’s true!  Here she is reading the words on the fabric!

My, I have a smart cat!  She could be designing very soon.

Did I tease you enough with the pictures?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hugs,

Anne
