What comes first, the fabric or the quilt?  Ever wondered about it? When I started designing, it was the fabric that inspired me.  I’d wait on pins and needles to see the newest lines from Moda.  I’d have several quits in my head and when I saw the right fabric I’d start designing. Oh joy […]

Judi - Please, please come out with a new baby line! Since most and I do mean most of the baby quilts I have made(and I have made 8) this year alone, the gender of the child is known. The one who didn’t actually know, took a sealed envelope with the gender info to her baby stuff store and they put away the blue ( in this case) choices she made.

I desperately need pinks, blues, lavenders with greys and tsuoes. It seems every nursery was pink or blue with grey or taupe this past two years!

Help! My children and their friends don’t want trucks, farm animals or robots!ReplyCancel

Karen Miller - Nice to see a post from you Anne and congratulations on another new line from Moda! I just love all of the beautiful new fabrics and peruse them often for inspiration for a new Moda Bake Shop recipe or pattern. I’m a new pattern designer and am always inspired when I see your fabric and sweet BOM. I would love to learn more about the process… Can’t wait to see the line. Hugs, Karen

Barb - Oh I love the name “Mistletoe Lane” just conjures up all sorts of ideas, thoughts and memories. I just know this is going to be extra-special – fabric always inspires so many possibilities.

I’m with Karen Miller (above commenter) I’d love to learn and understand the process of fabric from inspiration to manufacturer – I know we would all be in utter awe of what it must take !

Thank you, Anne, for sharing your talent, creativity and generosity with us.ReplyCancel

Pam - I love the little boy fabrics, Anne! Just saw them at the FQ Shop site — and to enter the drawing. I could never find gingham in all cotton when my kids were small. It’s always a blend! I always loved gingham when I was young. With four daughters I’ve been obsessed/focused on pink all these years. Now with the birth of Prince Henry — he turned 14 weeks yesterday — I have more of an eye for little boy things. Haven’t done that for 30 years (Uncle Matt just turned 30 in May). I love the other fabrics in the collection especially the stars and sailboats — because we sail at our lake house. So I used to do lots of sailboat things for Matthew. I do love the little girl fabrics. Waiting for our oldest daughter to get pregnant next — I think she feels Baby Fever coming on — she just has to find a break in her last year of residency in pediatrics!

So congrats on the beautiful new line! I’ll probably be placing an order soon! And I love the new web page design — loved the old one, too!ReplyCancel

It gets so crazy around here right before market.  You’d think I’d be used to it, but it never ceases to amaze me.  It’s market frenzy time and it takes every minute I have to get ready.  My husband cooks, feeds the pets, shops and takes care of the house, just so I can design […]
