• Merry Merry Snow Days

I love snowmen almost as much as I love Christmas and my newest fabric line for Moda, Merry Merry Snow Days, is the perfect combination of both.  The colors are traditional Christmas, and the tiny prints are made for fussy cutting.  I hope you love this line as much as I do!   If you’re wondering what you can make with this fabric, I have some great ideas for you!  I’ll be sharing them with you over the next few days.  Christmas 2019 is going to be so much fun! Have a happy day everyone! Anne

  • More snow happy hearts

April, May and June Snow Happy Hearts are up on the website and blog, ready for you to make! Here’s April… May…   and June: You’ll find the patterns for these under our “free” section on my blog or website.   I have the biggest urge to just stop everything I’m working on and make another set of these hearts.  Maybe I’d make them in felt or wool.  But, alas I have new things I’m working on that have design deadlines of September 14th., and new things to make as soon as my advance yardage arrives. I’m a snowman lover so I’m sure there are more snowmen to come!  Can…

  • Snow Happy Hearts are back

If you missed Snow Happy Hearts the first time, I’m giving them again.  You’ll get free heart patterns on the 5th of each month until all 12 are in your happy applique hands.  Don’t miss out!  The first three are ready now.  Just click on the “free” link at the top of this blog or on the “free” page on our website. • Almost Christmas

Can you believe Christmas 2017 is almost here?  I’ve done some simple decorating in my studio this year consisting of one little ruler tree.  :>)  Simple, yes, but isn’t it perfect for a sewing studio?  The tree is only 13″ from top to bottom. There’s a reason my decorating is so simple this year… His name’s Sylvester.  It’s his first Christmas, and he’s fascinated with everything! He’s sure I’ve done this just for him. Can you imagine Christmas through the eyes of an 8-month-old kitten? One thing for sure…those eyes won’t be on any vintage mercury glass ornaments this year… If he can see it with his eyes, his paws are sure to follow. …

  • Block Six Sadie Goose

    stocking treats block six

Block six brings “Sadie Goose.” She’s my favorite block and one that signals we’re halfway through the stocking quilt!  Don’t you love her?  There’s something about a pink Christmas goose, wearing a Christmas scarf that always gets to me. Block Six Now’s the time to use those cute little flower buttons you have in your embellishment kit! They’re for Sadie’s stocking!  You can set them on the stocking when you’ve finished, and take lots of pictures, but don’t sew them on until quilting is complete. Waiting to sew on embellishments is hard for me when I’m working on a quilt. I can’t wait to see the block complete with the…
