Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017!

Join me this New Year’s Eve for a Bunny Hill giveaway!  It’s time to celebrate the end of a year and the start of another and I’ve been gathering up things to give away.   I brought some samples back from quilt market and found some other treats that Moda’s sent me over the last year.  I’ve got two fat quarter bundles of Sugar Plum Christmas, one fat eighth bundle, and an Aurifil thread kit.  I found some different designer rolls of wonderful Moda fabric groups so I’m giving those away too.  This giveaway will end tomorrow, on January 1st. and I’ll choose a total of eight winners.  It could be you if you leave me a comment!

We used to wait up to see the ball drop in New York, but they’ve quit showing it live here in California.  And, try as we might we usually don’t last until midnight for the firework display in San Francisco.  I hope your New Year’s Eve is more exciting than ours.  I’ll be back tomorrow to tell you who the winners of the goodies are.  Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!

Anne

  • Nancy Cobler - We never make it to midnight either, although we are stirred a bit by fireworks in the neighborhood. In recent years they’ve established the Great Potato Drop in Boise, but, even if we could stay awake, it’s terribly cold here in the valley tonight, so we are just going to snuggle up with our Grandson and our pups and call it 2017 in the morning! Thank you for extending this giveaway to those of us who love your sweet designs! What a thoughtful, happy way to start the New Year!!!ReplyCancel

    • Delcia R. - I love the Potato Drop! I saw it on line a few years ago–what a HOOT!ReplyCancel

      • Nancy Cobler - The potato has evolved each year. Originally it looked like a giant ” something else” descending on Capital Blvd. Gratefully, this year’s version actually looked like a good ol’ Idaho Baker and was little from within.

    • Nancy Cobler - That would be, Lit from within! Doggone auto correct!ReplyCancel

  • Joyce Marder - I completed Raining Cats and Dogs in September 2016. Since I hand-pieced and appliqued the entire quilt whenever it was slow at work (call centers), it took five years. It may take another few years to finish because I’m still deciding how to quilt it–pattern and technique. Then I need to learn how to embroider. I was intimidated by the huge box of fabric when it first arrived. I coped by taking out one month’s supply at a time. The generous supply of fabric allowed me to recover from my mistakes. It has been a wonderful and educational adventure. When it’s done, I shall tackle another Bunny Hill project. I love your adorable critters and their adventures.ReplyCancel

I’m just happy for that new energy of a new year beginning. The first will always be a sad day because I lost my 15 year old cousin on Jan 1, 2016, who was very very close to my daughter. It’s been a tough year, but I feel this year will be much better! I am devoted to making it better! Hope you have a fantastic year and I’m grateful that you are sharing such nice gifts with us. I hope it finds the way to some very special people!!

Your fabrics are the bomb! I love the colors and the sweet designs. I am 83, still quilting and learning new things all the time.ReplyCancel
