I’m a true Magnolia, Joanna and Chip Gaines fan. I watch the HGTV show Fixer Upper (new shows start November 29th), I’ve subscribed to their newest magazine called The Magnolia Journal, and now I’ve finally had a chance to visit Magnolia Market, the destination in Waco that Chip & Joanna have created.
Just after our visit to Moda , Karla, Barb, Mary, Doug and I drove to Waco. We arrived on a Wednesday amid the pouring rain, but we were told we were lucky. The shop looked busy to us, but apparently it was slow compared to weekend and non-rainy days. The staff told us that people are usually lined up around the building to get in! Of course we didn’t even bring umbrellas to Texas, so the hotel gave us plastic emergency rain bags to wear. And Magnolia had staff stationed outside with umbrellas to help escort umbrella-less tourists like us.
Magnolia is wonderful! It’s filled with so many great finds it was hard to decide what to buy, but I fell in love with this sugar mold.
… It now sits in the center of my cutting table and holds everything I need, including my rotary cutter. It’s available on the Magnolia website !
Here’s a peek at what awaits you inside the store (next two photos courtesy of Barb)!
And here we are under that famous Magnolia sign!
You can’t leave without a visit to the Magnolia Seed & Supply store. It was my first introduction to Fairy Gardens!
I fell in love with the fairy gardens and inside the seed supply shop they sell all the little accessories needed to make one.
Before we left we had to make a stop at the bakery! They have a beautiful patio just off the bakery…
…and even in the rain it’s the perfect place to eat one of these famous Magnolia cupcakes!
Thank you Chip and Joanna for creating such a wonderful place. We had such a great time!

We recently too a day trip to Waco! I,too, love the fairy gardens and plan to try one. At the bakery I got the cheddar bacon biscuit 😋 Know we will have to go back.
I used to live in Waco and am a fan of the design show. Makes me want to move back there and have Chip and Joanna find a house to re-do for us. I saw an interview with them on the Today Show earlier this week. Chip was talking about how the show has brought a large increase of visitors to Waco.
I am so hoping to go the Magnolia very soon! I just got their book and am anxious to get started.
What a wonderful find….cute and useful.
What fun. I hope to visit one day.
You got some really beautiful pictures. We went about a year ago and boy was it crowded. But we had so much fun. I do not think the Cilos were ready yet. So glad you are having fun in Texas.
I’m from Waco, and my Mom still lives there with numerous other relatives. This place is phenomenal, I love it so much. I can’t wait to go back next time I visit my Mom. I was there a couple of times before they had the whole place totally completed. Thanks for sharing all the pictures.
Oh my gosh! What a great place! Thank you so much for sharing so many pictures of this inspiring place. I had never heard of it and I’m so glad you brought it to your readers’ attention. And I loved the picture of all of you under the sign. Diane Matthews
That looks like a very fun place! Thanks for sharing all the pics.
I would love to go there!!! I wonder if they knew that they had quilt celebrities in their midst?
Please change my e-mails to above address. Thanks

Looks like an awesome experience–on my bucket list, for sure! The fairy gardens are especially adorable–I think I may need to have one next summer!
I hope you’ll share your fairy garden after it’s made. I’ve had an indoor fairy garden for over ten years and an outdoor one in summer for many years as well, and they are both such fun to make and care for.
Wish we had something like that close to us, but them I would have to go back to work.
What a great visit you have had…thank you for sharing it with your blog readers 😊
What a special place. Love the little fairy gardens and that cupcake…..Yum :)!
Love that sugar mold! Others must too since it is out of stock online!
And that cupcake looks divine!! Glad you got to go!
Thanks for sharing this amazing eye candy with us … but now I need a cupcake:-)
Love this show! Waco’s not that far from me either. I should try to visit. :D
I’d say I was jealous, but we will be there in just a couple of weeks. Can’t wait. Thanks for the little tour though. It looks great!
Anne!
Waco is two hours away. I must visit that place!
Love,
Mary
