• The Merci La Vie Quilt

Writing about the Merci La Vie quilt gives me an overwhelming feeling of emotion.  Each time I think of the special ladies who worked on this quilt I realize what a special place in my heart they each hold.  As I prepare to leave for Quilt Market this year, I’m reminded that I’ll be seeing some of them very soon.  I want to scoop them up into a huge group hug!   If you don’t remember hearing about this Merci La Vie quilt, you can read about it on my blog here. This special quilt is currently at the American Cancer Society getting ready for a high society event!  It will be attending  The…

  • A Trip to Magnolia

I’m a true Magnolia, Joanna and Chip Gaines fan.  I watch the HGTV show Fixer Upper (new shows start November 29th), I’ve subscribed to their newest magazine called The Magnolia Journal, and now I’ve finally had a chance to visit Magnolia Market, the destination in Waco that Chip & Joanna have created. I owe you all at least 10 new posts and I haven’t forgotten about you.  I’m keeping a list of things to tell you so I don’t forget.  I’ve been working like crazy on new things for quilt market, and that’s why I’ve been so quiet. For now, I have to tell you about the Moda designers new book with Martingale!  It’s called “Moda All-Stars Mini Marvels” and it gets released today! Here’s my quilt called “A Pink Christmas”. If you love wool applique combined with fabric this mini quilt is fun to make. The instructions are in the book! We’ll have some books and kits for this little mini available in November.  I’ll…
