He’s not lazy–he’s conserving energy!
I think cats see their job as looking cute all the time so they get petted all the time so WE don’t get any work done😻.
A spitting image of Abby the Tabby that I had for many years. When I have cats (none at the moment) I always have a tabby and a calico.

I forgot one other way he is “helpful”. Whenever I’m trying to take a picture of a quilt on the floor, he walks or lays on it to give the scale of the project.
I have an orange and white tabby. He’s very good at “helping”. He helps keep me from cutting fabric when he lays on the cutting mat and helps keep me from quilting when he lays on the quilt I’m trying to machine quilt. He’s also good at keeping me warm when I’m hand sewing the binding on a quilt. So “Helpful!”
I’m with Jocelyn, Had to chuckle at many comments. I have alway had cats since childhood. so have had many of these thing happens when you belong to a cat. Your furbaby is gorgeous, maybe dock his pay?
I used to have a sweet tabby named Meatball. Her main occupation in life was to groom toes–we had to keep our shoes on at all times!

Pretty kitty! I have a kitty but she’s not lazy. Always trying to eat the thread on my machine or frayed edges of handwork! I’d take a lazy one over mine! *wink*

Oh my I ah we are owned by 2 cats one lazy and one who brings us gifts over the years we have been gifted live lizards, dead and live mice, dead and live rats, dead birds, and just this Spring a first a snake I could not tell you if that was dead or alive I was to busy directing my husband to get the cat and her snake out far out and lock her out.
We had one cat a huge sweet as can be kitty who used to catch and bring mice live mice in an put them down in front of the chihuahua and demonstrat how to catch and release and catch again and try as he might that cat was never able to teach that dog how to be a mouser

My Tabby sleeps all the time.
Ha! Ha! HA! Same goes for our Daisy–but that is far better than our daughter’s Flynn (an orange cat with a catitude) who steals things like the Easter chicky and anything else his little self desires, and even leaves inappropriate wet spots when he’s ticked off. So I enjoy a lazy cat. The alternative isn’t nearly as pleasant! LOL!

Please, Please Now I am begging – on hands and knees – Please come up with another Pink, Gray, and Blue collection! All the new Moms to be want those colors for their nurseries! Yes, I only know ONE out of 16 new Moms in the last four years who waited to find out “what they are having!” There are no Moms who want generic colors. They either have a then=me which is easy or they want Pink and Gray or Blue and gray!
My stashof Ooh La LA and Puttin on the Ritz are almost depleted! HELP! I know one was gray and one was taupish but that is what these MOms want!

I have two busy ones, and it’s like keeping up with toddlers. My lazy one is no trouble at all.
Of course, if I could teach them to do housework, then we’d be good. :D
Oh – he totally looks like our Sebastian Cat. Our daughter brought him home from college. I never wanted a cat in the house, but he changed my mind :). We still really miss him. Enjoy your lovable ‘lazy’ cat!
Very true! We have an orange tabby that works very hard testing the comfort of the chair. Since he is geriatric, we don’t mind his extended lunch breaks.
His cousin lives with me. We call him Fat Cat because he only moves to eat. I try to get him to do any work around the house all he does is smirk at me. 😼
His twin brother, George lives here…he lounges around on the deck all day, just waiting for dinner to arrive, while his more ambitious sister, Emma, who thinks she is a long eared, Nubian Dairy Goat, spends her days in the pasture keeping tabs on her goat and llama family.
I would love to see this. 8-)
