Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery 2016

Fat Quarter Shop 2016 Designer Mystery Block of the Month

My friend Kimberly, at the Fat Quarter Shop has been doing a Designer Mystery Block of the Month every year since 2011!  I think I’ve had the honor of being in at least half of them! Kim chooses a fabric collection and then invites designers to join her in designing a mystery block.  The result is fun, and always something new!

For 2016 she’s picked one of my favorite Moda fabric lines, Little Miss Sunshine by Lella Boutique. Just look at this stack of blocks, can you see mine in that stack?

I forgot, this is a mystery so the blocks are cleverly hidden, but I can still see mine peeking out!   Here’s a clue to finding my block.  I’ve used 3 of the fabrics in the 9 patch below to make my mystery block.  Can you guess what three I used?  I just might surprise you!

Designer Mystery 2016

Fat Quarter Shop has kits available and Kimberly will be doing a video each month showing you how to make the blocks.  This is going to be an adorable quilt!

I’ll be back on Monday to tell you about a little three-week sew along the Fat Quarter Shop is doing that involves my Spooky Delights fabric!

See you soon!

I’ve always wanted to participate in Kimberly’s BOM. The fabrics are always gorgeous and such wonderful designers are featured. Love to see you on that list Anne!

Such beautiful fabrics! I think your block is the one between the 2016 and Designer script with the navy bias strip, the dots on aqua and the little blooms on aqua. At least that’s the only one with 3 fabrics from the 9-patch, lol;-)

It will be fun to see which fabrics you used in your block–I’m thinking you must have used that cute check! I can’t wait for the Spooky Delights sew along!

There are so many great combo possibilities in these prints! If it would surprise me, then I’d guess the blue dots, the black stripe and the white print. At least those appeal to me today…guess we’ll have to wait and see what block you made :)
