Red & White

Remember when the Red & White Quilt Exhibit was in New York?  If you were lucky enough to attend, I’m envious.  That was something I think all of us wanted to see.  The pictures, blog posts and stories from that event were wonderful.

Finally, thanks to the American Folk Art Museum, we can all visit and enjoy those wonderful quilts while sitting in a comfy chair enjoying a cup of tea in our own home.

I pre-ordered my copy of this book from Amazon yesterday.  The release date is September 22nd and if you have Amazon Prime you get free shipping!  650 red and white quilts, can you imagine?  I can hardly wait!

    Thanks for sharing! I preordered my copy of Red and White Quilts. I did not get to see the exhibit, but have admired the quilts many times. What’s to NOT like in a red and white quilt. Love your work. Thanks for inspiring me to make pink quilts. lol

    I wasn’t aware of the Red & White quilt exhibit but WOW! I wish I could have seen it. Thanks for the information about the book and thanks to Marcella for the information about the app that is available.

    Red is my favorite color so I’m going to love looking all of these. The quilt on the book cover is amazing!!

    Now this book will right now come on my amazon wishlist and perhaps it’ll be a xmas gift from me to me (or my mum). Do you know if it’s just the photos or the instructions as well? that would be even better:-)

    Thank you anne and thank to your blog reader for her free app information. I have yet to see a red and white quilt that I don’t like and hope I never do.
    I want to make one I am thinking an Irish chain would meet my abilities

    I was so inspired by the Red and White display that I only saw on the web, that I started one of my own. Hope to get it done for February 2016.

    That was an exhibit I wish I could have seen too! I do have the app though – do you know about it? They made an app that shows all of the quilts from the exhibit and it’s free. Fun to look through!

    Oh, that looks fabulous. I so wanted to see that exhibit. The quilt on the cover just fascinates me!

    I’ll have to put that book on my wish list! :D
