Wool

Happy Thursday!

I’ve been busy.  I sent off another fabric line to Moda and it feels so good to have it finished.  I can’t even give you a little hint about it yet, but you’ll be able to tell it’s a Bunny Hill fabric line when you see it.  :>)

We’ve got a few Easter Petite kits back in stock on our website.  You still have time to make these cute little ornaments and there are plenty of branches out there to hang them on!

Something about that pastel wool that just makes me smile!

Something else has me smiling lately and I thought I’d share it with you. It’s an update on the cancer journey in our family.  We got good news after the lymph node surgery in January.  No cancer cells were found in the ones they removed.  Chemo yes, radiation no.  Many of you said prayers for my family as we began this journey and you’ve helped so much.  I believe in the power of prayer, and the hopefulness that comes with it.  It’s a feeling of goodness linking us all together, and I can’t thank you enough.  My one wish now is that all of you will schedule a mammogram for yourselves.   I just can emphasize how important this is.  Without it, my daughter-in-law would be going down a very different path now.  Get thyself to a mammogram!

This month is going super fast don’t you think?  I swear it has something to do with the time change.  I hate it when we change times but at least it puts us closer to spring.  The farmer’s market opens this weekend in our area and I love going.

Have a great Thursday.

Anne

Yippee! Yippee! I have been thinking about your relative (figuring it might be your daughter in law) for so long, now. She will do just fine going through chemo – it’s not fun, but it makes you well. Ask for help whenever she needs it – people are so very willing to do whatever is necessary to make her feel better or help her emotionally. I am so glad the lymph nodes were clear – that is wonderful. No traveling cancer cells. There are lots of us breast cancer survivors out there. She will be one more of us. Hugs to the family. Anne…that’s wonderful news!! I’ve been stitching with some breast cancer fabric lately and with each stitch I’m hoping we are closer to a cure. I love your Easter Petites…especially the wee lamb…and I always look forward to your next line of fabric and patterns. Have a wonderful week…happy stitching, Pauline

Good news, Anne. I will continue to uphold your family in prayer. I’m entering my Rabbits Prefer Chocolate quilt in our annual juried quilt show, The Best of the Valley. I’ll let you know how I do!

Excited about the new fabric; but, even more excited about the good report from the dr! Prayers and good thoughts for your family from an 18 yr. survivor.

Darling ornaments, and I agree about those pastel wools, they’re so soft and sweet. I’m so happy to hear your good news, and I’ll keep on praying because I also believe in the power of prayer. I hope the good news will keep on coming throughout this journey. Thank you for the update.

    PRAISE THE LORD
that is wonderful news. The Lord is so good and generous.

Not a fan of the mammogram but get it every year and encourage all my friends too,

I agree with you I LOVE the pastel wool too. It makes me smile and feel happy. But then all the wonderful wool does.

Thank you for sharing your good news, and I cant wait for the new line.

    Blessings, Margi

So happy that your daughter-in-law has such good news!!! Same results for my quilting peep up in South Bend. She will be having her last chemo the week we get together to quilt next month. We’re so relieved! God is good!

I’ve always been diligent about my mammograms because we do have a lot if cancer in my side of the family. May I make another reminder? Please be sure to get a colonoscopy when you turn 50 — earlier if you have symptoms or a family history. My husband balked at the idea and I MADE him go. The doctor said he had the largest precancerous tumor he’s ever seen. That was 9 years ago. If Paul hadn’t gone, we are sure he’d not be here today to be visiting our first grandson in Omaha.

Take care and enjoy the spring blessings!

So glad to hear that your daughter in law is doing ok! My Mom just got diagnosed with breast cancer-we have met with surgeons, but are awaiting our oncologist appointment. Luckily, it was caught early, thanks to regular mammograms!

A fabulous report on the cancer journey. I totally agree with your mammo recommendation. Just had a clear one after a worrisome wait for results. Can’t wait to see the new Bunny Hill fabrics. Your designs and BOMs always make me smile!
