HollyHill, Homespun and Holly

The season is coming at us and I’m starting off with a class at Holly Hill quilt shop in west Lynne Oregon this weekend!  Homespun and Holly is an annual event at the shop and it’s so much fun.  If you ever get a chance to sign up, don’t hesitate, just do it. I think they start taking reservations sometime in July, and I guarantee you’ll have a great time.

My schedule is a bit crazy now, because I leave for Hollyhill tomorrow morning,  and on Friday, my son Doug, Elke and Lily arrive from Germany!  I’ll be home again on Sunday, but I have 2 days without my Lily fix.  Lily’s here for two weeks and that includes of course a Thanksgiving dinner!   I can’t wait for Sunday so I can see my granddaughter!  She’s 2 1/2 and full of energy.  I hope she’ll adjust to the time change quickly.  It’s the worst thing about traveling internationally.

I’ve designed a special little Petite pattern for Hollyhill’s class, and I’m calling it “Cozy Christmas”.   Once I teach it this weekend, it will be available for you on our website as a new Petite pattern.  We’ve even made kits for you, so be sure and check our website next week.   Here’s a little sneak peek…

Remember the American Patchwork and Quilting Quilt Along starts next week on the 19th.  If you subscribe, look for the February issue of American Patchwork & Quilting in the mail any day now.  It’s also available on newsstands December 3rd.  I’m making Lissa Alexander’s   beautiful quilt that you’ll find in the magazine on page 55.   Make one along with me, it will be fun!

Portland, here I come.  Hope I have warm enough shoes, coat, gloves and a big enough umbrella etc.  Last year I froze in that beautiful city.  This California girl is packing like she’s going to Iceland.  LOL!   If you’re attending Homespun & Holly I’ll see you soon!

Hugs,

Anne

Yeah! I am so happy to hear you are coming to Homespun and Holly again this year. I can’t wait to see what we will make – that snowman looks very cute. Sorry to say it sounds like a storm is coming for the weekend, so you will need that umbrella.

Cute little snowman Anne. Can’t wait for the reveal. Have fun in Portland – DH and I are headed to San Diego Friday for a week — hope it’s warmer there than the East Coast — we’re freezin’….
