Other Nice Things

Sample Sale

Thank you to each of you who commented on my last blog post.  I don’t think I could have made it through the weekend without such loving words coming my way.  I read every comment, every email and some of them twice.  It was a rough weekend for all of us here, and knowing that so many of you cared really helped.  You are not just blog readers, but people who I love having in my life.  Thank you all so very much!

Sample Sale

Every once in a while I go through the samples in our closet to make space for new things to come.  Right now the closet is overflowing with quilts and some have to go.  I’ve just put sample quilts on my website in the “sale” section.  They are all in perfect condition and well cared for.  If you need a great baby quilt and don’t have time to make it, one of our samples just might be what you need.  Or, maybe redwork is your passion…remember “A Tisket A Tasket” in redwork?  The sample is on my website for sale!

A Tisket A Tasket

Many of these samples you’ll recognize, but a few you may not.  Patterns like “Gingersnaps” and “Cherry Soda” have been retired.

I’ll be back later this week to show you the pre-printed applique templates for “A Woodland Christmas”.  Our sample package arrived today and I’ll get it photographed right away.    We’ll have them in stock in just a few weeks.  I can’t wait for you to feel this heavy-duty freezer paper!  One layer is all you need and I love it!

Hugs to you all,

Anne

Tears in my eyes right now as I type. First – so very sorry about Bitsy. I completely understand – I’ve lost pets too and it has just about broken me since I don’t have human kids of my own. You just cry for as long as you feel like it – but know that wonderful warm memories will eventually replace your pain. Maybe it will help to think how good a life you helped to give Bitsy in her last years. A terrific thing your family did – you will be blessed for that. Second – you are a very talented writer. I followed a link on Susan Branch’s site here and am very glad I did [will be back again]. Please accept a warm virtual pat-pat-pat on your shoulder from a new reader and take care! :>)

Dear Anne, I am SO sorry to hear of Bitsy’s passing! Our animals have such a profound influence and effect on us. They are truly the love and light in our lives! Know for sure, Bitsy will be with you forever because love never dies, It is eternal . All you have to do is put your hand over your heart and you will feel her there, forever and always. When you are missing her so, just close your eyes she will be right there again with you! Smile and relive all the wonderful memories you shared with her! Sending love, hugs and blessings your way! Sincerely, Sue

Anne, I am so sad to learn you had to say goodbye to Bitsy Button Sutton. She had a great life with you! I had the pleasure of meeting you at Market last month and even commented on how wonderful it is that you and your husband have rescued animals and brought them into your home. I love reading about them. I know you’re hurting; happy thoughts and hugs coming your way.

I just read your blog and the sad news. It is so heartbreaking to loose a pet. It just leaves such a hole in your heart. I know how hard it is. I will miss her sweet face on your blog. Trudy

There are not the right words to offer you comfort as you grieve your beloved pet.
I pray you have lots of good memories of Blitsy. She looks like she was a wonderful companion. My heart is just broken for you. Unfortunately, I know what you are going through. My prayers are with you.

    Hi Anne,

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Bitsy (its taken me three days to write this as it is quite difficult typing through the tears) I’m afraid I come from a very emotional family when it comes to pooches. I can’t even watch Lassie movies without bursting into tears.
My love to you in your time of need Anne
    Warmest wishes

I am so sorry about your little girl, it’s hard I know I lost my little boy not long ago Sherman was my love, he was so sweet. I think of all the happy things about him now and some of the little stinker things he would do to me, and laugh and laugh. It gets easier for sure. Sherman also was a fox terrier with the same black spot on his hiney as your baby girl had. They crossed the rainbow bridge and are happy and maybe running and playing together. That’s a sweet thought, I think. Kathy
