Small Business vs Go Daddy

We’re small business America waiting to be helped by big business America.

If you’ve seen my website lately you’ll see the Go Daddy girl and not my bunny.   Our website has been down since Saturday and we’re still waiting for Go Daddy to help us get back on the web.

Who on earth is Go Daddy you ask?  Go Daddy is a web hosting company and I’ve been with them since I started my business.  Back then they were a small business too.  Then, from what I’ve heard they took out a Super Bowl ad, hired Danica Patrick (a race car driver) to be the “Go Daddy girl” and their business boomed.   Go Daddy is now the sponsor for Danica at Nascar.

Until this week it’s been smooth sailing at Go Daddy, but I pay attention to how a company responds when there’s a problem.   Nothing at all against Danica, but I guarantee if her website went down they’d have it fixed by now.

For those of you who took advantage of our sale and placed your order before the crash, thank you many times over for your orders.  For those of you who wanted to place an order and couldn’t, I’ll extend the sale dates as soon as our site is up and running again.  Hopefully it won’t be too much longer.  Who knows…maybe the owner of Go Daddy has a wife who happens to be a quilter…then I can get back to drawing for quilts instead of this blog!

Nascar bunny

Back soon to talk about all things quilting (I hope)!

I’m still trying to get in to your site and still o luck! I can only imagine just how frustrated you must be.

I think “Go Daddy” should soon be “Gone Daddy” for Bunny Hill.

I felt so bad for you that I sent GoDaddy a note of complaint and a request of how much longer our wait would be. I got a return email asking me what website I was asking about. Go figure!

I have been checking and checking on your site. Hopefully they get it together for you soon! Have you asked if Danika Patricks mom is a quilter??? That could be your in to getting back online soon! Gheez!

The two things that are the most frustrating for me…trouble with my website and trouble with my car! Sorry you are having problems and that they are taking so long to fix them. My website is with Intuit. My husband set it up – he started with GoDaddy and felt that Inuit was much easier to work with. Hope they get you up and running soon!

How frustrating! I laughed at Joanne’s comment about belonging to the love/hate computers generation! I certainly fit that description! Might be time to move to a private web designer. At least you’d have a person to talk to immediately if a problem occurs. Kisses for the babies from Penny!

Ain’t technology grand! until it goes wrong. Nothing we can do but wait it out, I know how frustrating it is when it’s your business. We lose our internet a lot in France, one storm and it’s off, sometimes it’s hours sometimes it’s days, I feel like I have lost contact with the outside world. Tell me….. how did we manage before the internet……. LOL. Hugs

Hang in there Anne. We will patiently wait, members of the generation that love/hate computers. Please give our best to Chelsea. Maybe it is best so her treats to get spaced out over more days! Love your GO BUNNY HILL GIRL!
    Best of luck

I feel your frustration, Anne. I use Go Daddy, mostly for registering my domain name (so someone else can’t) and as a placeholder to direct people back to my blog. If I ever decide to activate an online store, I’ll consider some of the other sources suggested here. I’ll keep checking back until I can place an order.

Godaddy is fine for a registrar but the are notoriously as a web host, try blue host or dream host or there are a few other more highly rated webhosting companies.

I’ve been trying to get your site for days…weeks? Seems like it anyhow. So today when I was directed to Go Daddy, I was a bit confused. But it said it is a parking place for websites, so I decided this must be where the bunnies are resting. I feel so bad for you, hope someone comes to your rescue soon so you can get your business back up and running!

I’m patient…getting UFOs done while I wait to order for a new project!! Extra tummy rubs for Chelsea! And, as a cat lover of course Pumpkin needs extra behind the ear scratches!
