• Desperately seeking mouse

Chelsea’s Mouse Years ago I bought this little knit mouse when Martha Stewart had her website.  We’ve had it for years and it’s become Chelsea’s very favorite dog toy.  She adores this mouse and every time someone comes to visit she runs to grab it and show it off.  She carries it around with her, watches over it in her bed and generally treats it like her baby. So you know what’s coming…the mouse is missing.  We’ve looked everywhere, under beds, furniture, in the couches and chairs…we just can’t find it.  I’m afraid it may have been sucked up in the vacuum by accident.  I’m sending out a plea…does anyone…

  • Weeks Dye Works Wool

I’m in love with the wool from Weeks Dye Works.  If you’ve looked at my website lately you probably already know that.  Our wool section is filled with fat quarters from Weeks and we’ve bundled together our favorites to give you assorted colors to choose from.  I add a few more colors to our selection almost every time I place an order with Weeks because I can’t help myself. Let’s face it, wool is expensive.  I hate it when prices go up so I’m giving you advance notice…Weeks is raising their prices for this beautiful wool September 10th and we’ll have to increase prices too.  A fat quarter of wool…

  • Junior Layer Cakes

What can you do with a layer cake?  If it happens to be a Junior Layer Cake from Windsor Lane you can really have some fun!  Junior layer cakes have 20 fabrics 10″ x 10″ and they are perfect for our Petite patterns!   1 Junior layer cake = 10 petites or more!  I love these layer cakes because they’re affordable ($22.00) and they’re packaged by color.  Can you choose a favorite color?   “Lily” was made from a Windsor Lane layer cake.  You’ll get two squares of each fabric in a layer cake so you can make her the same on both sides, or for more variety try using two…

Do you like to make scrap quilts?  We’ve just added scrap bags from “Ooh La La” to our website! Assorted strips of yummy fabric all in one bag for just $10.00. Who knows, my scraps could be just the thing you need.  Sort them in baskets by color and you’ve got a scrap quilt in the making.  I’ll be adding more things to the website over the next few weeks as we get them ready so be sure and check back. I’m spending the weekend working on new designs and watching my favorite recorded shows… Project Runway, Suits, Political Animals etc.  Will you get some sewing/TV time this weekend? Have…

  • Stone Bridge

We spent two days in Regensburg, Germany.  If you ever get the chance to visit Germany, Regensburg is a town to see.   To think that you can walk across the Danube River on a cobblestone bridge during the 1100’s! Regensburg was spared during the war so the buildings are old and very charming.  We saw marks on many of the old buildings showing the water line from flooding over the years.  Many water lines were over my head and yet these beautiful buildings still stand with such charm. The view from the old stone bridge is incredible. Look what was waiting for us on the other side… Cobblestone streets and…

  • “Bird Legs”

It was at the zoo in Augsburg, Germany that I discovered the true meaning of the words “bird legs”. Stranger things have happened I’m sure, but for me this guy gets the prize.  Sunbathing has never been so good. Enjoy your Monday! Hugs, Anne
