My Marcel

Marcel…do you remember his story? I’ll never understand why he was at the vet’s office for so long without being adopted.  People coming and going every day and everyone passed him by for over 2 months.  They missed a real gem.  I’m so thankful my husband brought him home.

He came with imperfections that make me love him even more.  His fur separates where he had surgery after being hurt by the car fan.  You can see it in the picture above.  You only notice it when he lies on his side but there’s a big dent in his hip area you can feel when you pet him.

He’s a large cat with a teeny tiny meow.  It’s beyond cute.

He has a front tooth that sticks out sometimes when he closes his mouth.  It gives him a bit of a goofy look.  There’s a hint of it showing in the photo below.

He’s easy-going, very laid back and a little shy.  It takes him awhile to come out to greet new people.

He’s our cat now and I think he’s perfect.

He’s part of the Bunny Hill gang.  :>)

What a perfectly handsome and huggable cat. My hubby and I also just adopted a rescue cat who had spent over two months in a shelter waiting for her people to come and take her home. She was a stray when she was taken into the shelter and somone named her Katniss. Katniss must have had a hard life, too, as she has a bad leg and shows signs of deep cuts that have healed on her lip and head and a broken tooth was extracted. Nonetheless, she is a beauty … and very affectionate and appreciative of her new home. Give Marcel a rub behind the ears from us … :) Pat

Marcel looks like the perfect kitty to me. He is is beautiful. I absolutely love his little tooth. He’s one lucky boy to have someone like you adopt him.

He was meant to be a part of your lovely family Anne. But he wouldn’t have had to wait at all if I had seen him! I think he is beautiful.

He is a real sweetie and was just waiting for you. We got our Zeus at a place that took them in strays and their kittens for adoption. Once I picked him up he never took his eyes off me and to this day just follows me every where. He is such a sweetie too.

I have a rescue with ‘special’ touches as well . . . a crooked tail with no feeling at the end, a limp on his left rear when he walkes and only three toes on his left rear leg . . . all the result of being caught in the fan blades of a car when he was a kitten!! Not to worry though, he’s 13 years old and hasn’t let any of his troubles stop him at all!!

Your Marcel looks so much like my “Sam-cat” and my daughter’s “Hairy”, and I’m so glad Marcel has a forever family that values him all the way to his snaggle-tooth! What a smart cat! Congratulations to you all!

Yes, what a beautiful guy……boy cats are sweet hearts! Got a white cat, crossed eyes, and was supposed to be deaf, but he is not. He is now large, healthy and loves his mommy and daddy…….gotta love cats. Thank you for sharing your home with this black guy. The tooth is cute also. Just realized our little dropped off kitty has two canine teeth on one side. It too sticks out and is adorable……I just love kitties!!!!!!

This cat reminds me of my ‘hannah’ girl kitty, she was all black with a small tuft of white near her chest. She was a manx siamese mix and was a large black cat with a small cry, until she became diabetic and we had to put her down. She was large the day I took her to the vet I wanted to know is she being a bad girl or is she sick?
He said ‘she is very sick even though she doesn’t look sick’. She had a severe bladder/kidney infection and was diabetic, how does one know? a cat won’t tell you. The vet said ‘she was very ill’. she wet our loveseat and my recliner chair and my husbands chair twice. WE ended up with no furniture and a sick cat we had to put down. It was very expensive from the vet bill to replacing the furniture. You know what? I still miss her.

Thank you so much for the update on Marcel. He is gorgeous and I’m so happy he found such a wonderful home with you and your family! The fates intervened and it was ‘just meant to be!’. Has Mooch come to accept Marcel as part of the family now!

I loved the story when I first read it, so glad you are all so happy together. It was meant to be, he was just waiting for your husband to come and get him!

Awww, that just makes my heart happy to see Marcel, who was so badly injured in the past, curled up on that beautiful bed! What a sweetie, and a lucky little guy too to find such a loving home. We have one cat with a tooth like that! It’s so cute, especially when they bump and rub their face on yours and you can feel that tooth. Cats are just the best :)

What a handsome guy, Marcel is!! In my mind, our furry friends that have had less than ideal pasts seems to make the most loveable pets. My Bella, a sweet torti, is also a rescue kitty. She too has scars from where she got wrapped up in string which cut off the circulation in her leg, causing gangrene. She was like that for a week, as her owner had actually passed away in the home and wasn’t found for a week (awful, heh??) Amazingly, her leg healed and you’d never know it, except for the small scar on her foot. Now she’s living the life of luxury!

He’s beautiful! I would rather adopt an adult cat because they are already trained and laid back when you get them, and everybody wants a kitten instead.

Such a handsome guy. I mean really, who wants someone with a perfect look. I’ve always been fond of those with a bit of character and mystery about them, and Marcel certainly fits the bill. Bless his sweet heart.
