Valdani Colors…What’s your favorite?

Valdani has more colors than you ever thought possible, breathtaking colors that make you want to own them even if you don’t stitch.  Each new color is more lovely than the last.  It’s like opening a huge box of crayons each time we get a delivery.

Just look at these Valdani Pearl Cotton collections I added to the website.   Aren’t they pretty?  If you enlarge the pictures you can hold them in your hand…well, almost.

Colors go in and out of stock at Valdani quickly and because this thread is hand dyed we may have to wait a month or two before some colors are back in stock.  I love working with quality threads so for me it’s worth the wait.

I hope you enjoy the selection of Valdani we have available on the website.  I’ll be adding more colors over time and if there’s any you’d like us to carry please let me know.  The shades of pink I’ve been waiting for forever should arrive this week and I’ll have them on the website soon.   I can’t wait to open the box.

I’m working on a few wool applique patterns that just might use some of the colors you see in the photos.  It’s so much fun to stitch on wool using Valdani thread.   If you haven’t tried wool applique put it on your to do list.  I think you’ll love it!

Back soon,

Anne

I fell in love with Valdani thread when my friend Jacki Paton introduced us to her Muddy Monet collection. Recently I purchased a heavy duty thread, mostly for the color, from a web business in Massachusetts. I needed a specific color and weight and fell in love with the thread – I didn’t realize it was Valdani until I started using it and knew I wanted more colors – it’s Valdani’s 35W quilting thread, but I’ve been using it for stitching a wool penny rug. You use the one strand and it flows thru the wool like butter. I’m now collecting all the colors and hope I can find more colors somewhere else.

i love those two top boxes of the heather colors. I’ve been saving fat 8th’s of some various checks to make a star quilt for my hubby. those colors would be wonderful worked in the buttonhole stitch to outline the various stars.

ps. they don’t happen to also make fingering yarn from those shades do they? would be wonderful worked up into heathered socks.

I absolutely adore Valdani threads, all of them, but I just can’t afford them. One or two colors here and there, but not enough of a collection to do big projects except maybe redwork. Having said that, I do believe as compared to other fine threads, the price is not unreasonable, I just have to choose my priorities when there is also so much beautiful fabric to buy, LOL. Big Hugs…

Anne — Oh I just love the Valdani floss — I completed “Folk Art Melody” by Lori Smith – A Wool Applique that was so much fun to make — and I used one of the variegated mossy green colors — it came out beautifully especially with the precious hand dyed wool that I used for the leaves. I hope others get to try it ! It also works well when doing Punch Needle — no more reloading of your Punch Needle — it flows through nicely.

    Thanks for sharing! Karen
