Can you believe this is the final block for Henrietta Whiskers? Henrietta’s excited and a little bit nervous too. It’s not everyday that a little squirrel gets to meet so many people! I don’t think either of us ever imagined she would be so popular. I’m giving you block nine and the final quilt a day in advance! If you’re spending this holiday weekend sewing, you might have time to finish the quilt and have it ready to hang for Fall!
Henrietta Whiskers Block Nine
Henrietta’s busy catching stars and Sophie’s helping!
And now that you’re finishing up your quilt (you are finishing aren’t you?) you’re probably wondering what I’ve done to that top and bottom strip! I’ve had your trust all year and you’ve followed me blindly so to speak, so I’m excited to finally show you the entire quilt. Click on the photo and it will enlarge it.
You’ll find the pattern for block nine along with the finishing instructions, by clicking on the free tab at the top of my blog.
…As We Come to the end of My Henrietta Block of the Month…
…I’ve been struggling trying to find a balance in my life between designing fabric, patterns, quilt markets, family, pets, traveling and oh yes, I forgot me! Block of the month quilts take so much time to create and I know you understand how crazy life can get. I’ve made the difficult decision that Henrietta will be my last free block of the month. I know I’ll be disappointing many of you but I hope you’ll understand. I have LOTS of fun things up my sleeve that I think you’ll enjoy so please don’t think the fun will end. New surprises are in the planning stages!
New things added to my website!
You’ll find new floss and notions under “What’s New” on my website. We are now carrying Cosmo Sparkles Floss and because we’ve gotten so many requests, for a limited time I’ve added Cosmo Seasons color #8041. It’s in stock now and ready to ship!
and…Help me clean our our sample room!
We are filled to the brim and need to make room so you’ll find some great buys on samples and quilts from our patterns! I just listed more on my website.

There is something wrong with the posts – on a couple of blogs, including this one, I try to comment on the fair post, but when I scroll up , it is like I am on the previous post! I tried again to comment on the correct post, but again, I am on the previous one.

So soft and pretty, pastels like pink are gentle and calming and perfectly lovely to use. Thank-you for the opportunity to! I love your work.
Merci beaucoup pour votre générosité en nous offrant des blocks du mois gratuitement ….cordialement patch
Loved this post with Chelsea she is so sweet.Great cupcake banner .
Those dogs are so sweet. I really miss mine when I see how much fun you have with them. Love your cupcake as well., Sandi
What inspires me most when making a quilt is the recipient. I find it very easy to finish a quilt meant for someone else. However, when it comes to making something for myself, I find it very easy to put it on the backburner….you know, that ever growing ufo pile.
Thanks for the giveaway fun and keep up the good work with your beautiful blog.

I just want to thank you for the beautiful patterns you have shared these past years! I didn’t make the snowman one–for I live in a very tropical area and we don’t have much snow here. But I have loved making ‘Tisket/Tasket’ and ‘Henrietta.’ Your patterns are really fun to make. I’ve made the “Baltimore Bunny’ and am working on “The Night Before Christmas”. I have the “Rabbits love Redwork” to do! Guess I am a true fan! Your little grand-daughter is precious! Being a grandma is the best job! Take time to enjoy the special role and the things that are special to you!! That way you will continue to love what you do!
Thank you so much, Anne, for all of the BOMs! I first discovered your site when you were doing the Tisket and Tasket BOM. Your designs are absolutely wonderful and I love your products. I cannot imagine how much work went into the BOMs but know that I will continue to follow your adventures. Especially with your new grandbaby! Can’t wait to see what surprise you have in store for the MODA shop hop!

I am so sad to see the BOM go but I totally understand. I love your patterns and am so thankful to you for the ones you have given us. I have them all printed and bound so I can enjoy them for years to come. I was even able to pick up my favorite quilt pattern of all time this summer, Le Jardin! I got a discount coupon during the Southern California Quilt Run and I used it to get the pattern I have been wanting for years! Thank you so much for your great designs. I will look forward to whatever new designs you create for all of us.
Oh, Anne, don’t apologize! I’ve enjoyed these BOM’s so much, and I know others have, too! I was not able to participate in the Henrietta BOM, but I have printed it out and will make it some day, I know. Thank you so much for these patterns — can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

Anne, thank you for many years of wonderful BOM’s! I’ve done them all and enjoyed them very much. I’m certain it has been a tremendous amount of work – you deserve a break! My little group of sewing buddies will all miss awaiting the 5th each month to see the new block! But, this will give us time to work on your other creations – LeJardin is still waiting for me. As for Henrietta, she’s been so much fun – I love the crows happily flying around the borders! You’ve made my stitching days very happy ones!

Hi Anne,
Thank you for this wonderful adventure Henrietta and her friends have brought us upon. I’ve not started her yet but plan to in the near future…too much life getting in the way.
Your designs are wonderful and we appreciate the time and dedication it takes to share these BOM with us.
All the best to you in the future, just because you won’t be dong a BOM doesn’t mean I won’t still come and visit and see what you are doing.
Sandi in New Westminster B.C.
I am grateful that you have given us, your fans, the free BOM patterns. It was very generous of you and truly inspired a lot of people to applique. I belong to a group, the Sassy’s, & we all had a lot of fun & great conversations while making the blocks. Thank you!
