Gaby’s Quilt

I received the sweetest email today from a girl named Gaby…her mom made her a quilt and she wanted to share a photo with me!   Gaby and her mom picked out my Cream and Sugar pattern.  (Gaby if you’re reading this I’m so honored that you chose my pattern!)

Just look at Gaby’s quilt!

Isn’t it cute?

All the sweet little touches Gaby’s mom added make it really special…

…and now Gaby has a quilt that she says goes perfectly with her room. Gaby said that she originally wanted her quilt in the same colors as mine, but her mom talked her into looking at a black and white copy of the picture so she could see it with fresh eyes. Great advice mom!

Congratulations Gaby!  What a sweet gift from mom!  Give her a hug for me…

 

Oh, and if you’re one who leaves comments on my blog, you’ll notice that I’ve replied to them right in the comment section.  If you think I’m smart of course I am I really have no idea why I started doing that!  It just looked like fun!  Every time I comment it counts as another comment!  Now how smart is that?  LOL!

    I’m wondering……maybe Gaby’s Mom would like to adopt someone she could make another quilt for? If so….well….I just happen to be available!!! I’m 60 years old, love quilts, and would be very apprecitive of a gift just like your’s Gaby ! Heehee ! All kidding aside, this is a beautiful quilt, made with fabulous stitching, and I know Gaby will cherish it forever, and maybe pass it down to her daughter! Quilter’s have the biggest hearts !

    This is one of my favorites patterns, Anne! I love yours, but this black and cream combo w/ the other accents really gives it a chic, new look! I love it….what a treasured gift for a daughter :-)

    i love gaby’s quilt!! she will have it as a wonderful memory of her mother’s love. is gaby’s mom adopting?? i’m available….have a hairy dog and sweet husband in the package deal. ;0

    I had a chance to visit the local quilting store in my new town, and was thrilled to see a large collection of your fabric. They also had many of your patterns and a class featuring one of your designs. I can’t wait to start creating with your beautiful designs!

    Obviously Gaby is a very special girl with a vey special (and very talented) Mom! This quilt is just beautiful! and will be a treasure to Gaby forever! What a wonderful gift of love her Mom has given to her daughter – thank you to all for sharing it with us.
