Did you know that Mooch’s favorite birds were the inspiration for the pink version of “Building Blocks”?
She’s one smart cat…
…it was her idea to put birds on this quilt. She’s a bird watcher extraordinaire and a genius when she wakes up from a nap. She may look sleepy eyed but she’s been dreaming and I make sure I pay attention. You never know what she’ll dream up next.
She’s not crazy about trucks so, for the boy’s version of “Building Blocks” I was on my own. My husband once owned a old blue truck and it became the inspiration for the boy’s version of “Building Blocks”.
See easy this quilt is to make?
Enlarge the photo above and you’ll see the word fabric from “Puttin’ on the Ritz”…sweet little sayings to welcome baby!
Building blocks is one of my new Bunny Hill Baby patterns that I hope you’ll like! I designed it for Jelly Rolls and you can make it in a weekend!
Here’s the fabric requirements if you want to get started. Use your favorite jelly roll and mix up all the fabrics when you stitch up the blocks. It’s part of the fun!
Mooch will be back to introduce you to another new pattern called “Night at the Ritz”. I think she’s been hanging around the studio too much! She’s got her paws into everything.
Hugs,
Anne
adorable, love those birds on the quilt
oh my the blue and grey just got me! Love that quilt too and the trucks what little boy wouldn’t love that quilt?

ps loving my “new” sewing room thanks for all the help with the furniture purchasing it was well worth it!
The new grey palate nis really yummy!
Oh I wish I could get those fabrics now! I have a nephew coming in the next week or so and am just getting around to making his quilt! Oh that blue and grey are fantastic.
Mooch is so sweet and I love the new quilts, I wish I knew someone that was going to have baby.
Soft and cuddly–I wish someone would have a baby soon. Mooch looks to be soft and cuddly too.
These quilts are just too fabulous! I love them. And I especially love Mooch! She is gorgeous!!
ohhh, i like both of the quilts…,i bet mooch is going to demand that her name be put on the quilt patterns….cats can be so demanding. ;0
I love your new line and how well it coordinates with Mooch…she is a beautiful color and deserves to have a line of fabric designed around her ideas!
Mooch must have been the inspiration for the gray fabric in your new line.
Beautiful quilt and just love the shades of pink and blue.
Beautiful! Love those birdies. Mooch is one smart cookie!
Do you realize that Mooch matches the pink quilt? The thing I love about cats (well, ‘one’ of the things) is that they always look like they know something you don’t…and often they do! I love the simple blocks w/ the applique, these kinds of quilts are such fun to make. The word fabric is so sweet, too, I really love that idea…this is one of my favorite new lines!
Oh, Ann, what lovely patterns, and I like the new fabric!
Guess what………………..I have here Pooches twin sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My cat, her name is Mouse, looks exactly the same. A little spot of white on her breast, and green eyes. Funny!
Enjoy the weekend

Too adorable!!! I especially love the pink colorway.
Those birds are just too cute. Mooch has good taste (although I bet she likes the birds for a different reason…). Beautiful quilts, Anne!

You have one smart kitty cat Anne. I like her choice of birds….. just perfect! Your designs are always a delight to see. Thanks, as always, for sharing. Debbie
