Moda News!

I’m in the news today on the Moda blog and my sons are going to disown me.  I promised I would never tell the sequin story! You know how moms are.  They made Christmas ornaments when they were little and went door to door selling them.  Opps, now I’m really in trouble! Shhh…maybe they don’t read my blog.

I Feel like I should be cleaning the studio and having everyone over for a visit!  But wait!  That would take some doing right now.  We’re getting ready to sew up a storm at Bunny Hill and I guarantee the studio won’t be clean for weeks!  Think of the threads, scraps and fabric you might find on the floor.

I’m excited that I found something to fill vintage basket by my desk…jelly rolls and bundles of Lily & Will.  I’m even more excited to think it might be filled with Jelly Rolls of Puttin’ on The Ritz before too long.  Can you believe another quilt market is just around the corner?  I’ll be showing you my new fabric line soon!  This is going to be an exciting market for a lot of designers.  I can just feel it!  Wish you could all come.

One of you asked me about Chelsea and Bitsy a few weeks ago and if Chelsea had lost any weight?  They are both doing fine, but Chelsea has developed the strangest phobia.  She hates it when I try and take her photo!  Since I moved my desk she can walk completely around my computer and I’ll find her standing next to the monitor looking at me.  All I have to do is grab my camera and you’d think I was punishing her.  She hates it!  I don’t use a flash so I can’t imagine what started this!

Here she is standing on top of my desk right in front of me.  I picked up the camera and look at the expression on her face!

She hates it!  Maybe it’s the weight thing.  Do you think?

Back Soon I hope!  I’m having trouble with my blog right now and I’m moving it to another server.  Forgive me if any glitches come up.  I’ll get them fixed as soon as I can.

Hugs,

Anne

Anne, I jumped right over to Moda to read the story about the boys. I am sure the boys will forgive you because more than anything, the story highlights the warm fuzzy memories you created just by being together. Those memories are so precious to moms!

Great article on Moda and great photo too! I love the story about your boys! My boys learned to cross stitch when they were little, even created some of their own designs. Years later, I took the little ornaments they stitched and framed them for their Christmas trees.
Maybe Chelsea is just going through a temperamental phase…

I have always admired your ability to capture your puppies. I am sure she will come around. I have a chihuahua-cross, his name is Pepper; he has such a photogenic face, a sweet temper and his facial expressions make me so happy. However, he is completely gun-shy when it comes to a camera. Even the one on my cell phone. Thanks for sharing with us!

I think Chelsea must have been chased by the paparazzi in a former life and still has residual camera phobia. Besides she probably knows that the camera puts on 10 pounds…at least thats what I always say!

I can’t get a decent picture of one of my dogs. The second I pick up the camera she’s out the door. I don’t understand it either. When she was a puppy, no problem, but now she’s afraid.

Our animals can get really funny at times, I am babysitting my grandson three days a week and boy are we (my kittie) acting out.He is so jealous and follows close to my heels all the time Jonah is here. I wish I could go to market with you, do you need a gofer. LOL Waiting to see your new line with bated breath.

Chelsea is just too cute, even if she is camera shy. Maybe the rearranging kind of rocked her world a bit. Our Sadie does the same thing every time anything is changed around in any room…but she was badly abused as a young dog so certain things make her cringe or just drop down into a submissive position…still, she is a pure bundle of love. She just doesn’t like any kind of change at all. Are you coming to Spring Market here in Salt Lake Anne? Even though I will be showing around a designer from Australia I can’t get into market, but oh how fun it would be to see everyone!!! Can’t wait to see the new lines and what you have to reveal after your ‘sewing storm’ subsides and your allowed to share. Hug to you and scratches to all your furry bundles of love.

Chelsea is like a super model — impossible to take a bad picture. That face — it’s just so precious! I’m SO looking forward to “Puttin’ on the Ritz” — I’m sure it will be fantastic!

  • Andrea

I can relate to Chelsea’s fear of the camera =) Looking forward to seeing your new fabric line! I was sooo excited the other day when I saw your Lily and Will line in our local quilt shop!

Can’t wait to see “Puttin’ on the Ritz!” I’m really looking forward to meeting you at market too! I just can’t wait…it will be my first time attending, and I’m starting to think about it every day!
