All Dressed Up and Pouring Rain

It’s pouring rain here today.  The kind of rain that brings high winds along with it.  California is definitely starting the New Year with a bang!  Watching the rain outside, made me dream of my trip to Paris last June, when a much more gentle rain brought out the umbrellas!  It was wonderful to watch.

Then looking at the umbrellas made me think of  all the shopping I did in Paris…ohh la la!

And then I wondered what Paris was like on New Year’s Eve so I went to Google to find out!

“In Paris, an estimated 235,000 people were on the Champs-Elysees with a further 35,000 around the Eiffel Tower.”

Not really so bad when you think that “NEARLY a million New Year’s Eve revelers crowded into New York’s Times Square to witness the traditional dazzling ball drop”!  The amazing thing is that the ball itself has 32,000 lights!  Almost as many lights as there were people around the Eiffel Tower.  Wow!  I can’t even image numbers like this!  And don’t you wonder who does the counting?  Were you a part of these amazing numbers?  If so did you take pictures?

Everyone at Bunny Hill had a very quiet New Year’s Eve day.  We cut 12 of these Bella Bundles.  It took us FOREVER  to cut 12 but we did have a lot of fun!  It made us love Moda a little bit more.  Once the bundles were packaged we realized how beautiful they look!

All dressed up and nowhere to go!  Oh my! You’ll find 12 of these bundles on my web site and it will be awhile before we cut more!

As we begin 2011 I just couldn’t be more excited!  Do you feel it too?  2011 is going to be a very good year!

Is the jar 1/2 empty or 1/2 full?

Join me on my web site and blog on the 5th of January and start filling your jar with fun!  Make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter.  You’ll find it on the home page of my web site!

Happy New Year everyone!

Hugs,

Anne

The jar is half full and needs to be filled with wonderful, beautiful projects. I received a new cutting table for christmas made to measure and I have been busy filling the eight drawers. I can hardly wait to start cutting on it because it has been made to measure for me so hopefully no more backaches.

The jar is definitely half-full this year. I’m in a new place and have a strong urge to do some serious sewing. This past weekend I folded Bella fabric – I love the colors! Can’t wait until the 5th to see what you have in store. You are always so generous with your talents. Thank you and happy new year!

The jar is definitely half full. Anne, I’ve enjoyed your blog so much. You’ve played such a major role in my quilting journey this year. I love my Tisket a Tasket quilt which is predomdinantly displayed in my quilt room (with two ribbons pinned on the front, I might add). I’m just assembling Le Jardin, and anxiously looking forward to the arrival of the first installment of The Night Before Christmas from Shabby Fabrics. Rabbits Prefer Chocolate is waiting in the wings, so this has definitely been the Year of Anne Sutton for me. Happy New Year, Anne — looking forward to whatever’s coming next!

Happy New Year Anne!!! I’m looking forward to a delightful year filled with lots of quilting and hopefully my health will allow a little bit of travel with my hubby on our huge Goldwing motorcycle. Most of all, I’m looking forward to some beautiful and delightful BOMs from my favorite designers *hint*, I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us! I’m all signed up and ready except for getting my sewing room dusted and in order. It’s been very sad lately that I haven’t spent too much time there but the new year and the finishing of our little remodel will change that. Now I’m off to check out those beautiful Bella Bundles. I don’t just want one, I NEED one so I’m going to ponder the finances and decide what to do about it. Of course, my hubby’s birthday is the 6th, just 5 days away! Do you think he would be happy with a Bella Bundle???….hmmm….maybe not! BUT, I remember a few Christmas’s and birthdays when I got “tools” from him, LOL. Though I grew up helping my dad do carpenter work, plumbing, you name it, and I know very well how to use those tools but somehow, I just don’t think that’s what he had in mind all those years ago, LOL. Bless his little heart! So, with that in mind, I’m heading over to look at the bundles, ya just never know, hehehe! Hugs…

A very healthy and happy new year to you, your family and everone at BunnyHill, including a Dutch hug for your 4-legged friends of course ;-)

Concerning the question about the glass, half full or half empty: mine is always half full , I’m an optimist through and through .
