Happy Birthday Alyssa!

As the days rush by before Christmas Santa is getting closer and closer!    Like most of you I’m still wrapping presents.

In the middle of all the hectic holiday rush today is my Granddaughter’s birthday.  At the top of her “important things” list today were the red velvet cupcakes she made for school.   How sweet life is when you’re 9!  Tomorrow night is her school play.  It will be held in a little church chapel and she’ll sing her heart out.  She’ll be one day older and one day sweeter.   Seems like just yesterday she was turning 5.

And suddenly she’s old enough to sew!

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

As I was going through photos today I came across many from Christmas and Bunny Hill that I think you’ll enjoy.

I’ll be sharing them with you over the next few weeks as we wait for the New Year to arrive.

Remembering the days at Bunny Hill and welcome 2011!

Hugs,

Anne

Happy Birthday Alyssa you are a little sweetie. I don’t have any granddaughters but my almost four year old grandson is very interested in the sewing machine so we made gifts for his teachers and he sat on my knee and sewed. We have all been sick with H1N1 flu so we are really behind on christmas so it will be low keyed this year.
Merry Christmas to you and all of your family. Hugs and blessings Samdra

Happy Birthday Alyssa. I can’t wait until you can come to quilt market with us. We are going to need you because your grandma and I will be too old to decorate the booth! LOL Beautiful pictures!

Happy Birthday to Alyssa. What a sweet heart. Grandchildren certainly put a wonderful spin on the holidays. Our grandson, Samuel’s birthday is Christmas Eve. What a great present that was that year. He’ll be nine!

Happy Birthday, Alyssa! What a beautiful child – in every sense of the word.

You are obviously very blessed, Anne, to have such special grandchildren. And…I think they are very lucky to have such a special grandmother!!!

    Happy Holidays!!

Grandaughters are one one of Gods Greatest gifts!!!! I have 2 and our youngest one is 2 1/2 and she loves to sit on my sewing table and play. Her mom says she doesnt need toys just some fabric to play with. I know she will be quilting any day now.Hope Alyssa has a great day!

Oh my goodness! She is just the cutest little girl AND SHE SEWS??!!! Maybe she’ll carry on the tradition?

My grandmother was a quilter but she never shared that with her grandchildren. When I was 16 she gave me two quilts that she had made in the 1930s with a sewing group. She never said anything except, “I want you to have these.”

Alyssa is very lucky to have a grandmother that shares her passion for quilts with her. She will remember her entire life. ;0
