DIY, Oh you are SO crafty!
You know who you are you crafty one you! You’ve been busy working on holiday gifts all year, and when someone finally opens one of your gifts you hear “you made this yourself? I can’t believe it!” So give yourself a round of applause! You’re part of the family! DIY!

I love her site. It’s filled with all kinds of classes from scrap-booking, photography to digital design. To give you a taste of how fun her classes are, she’s giving a FREE online class starting November 29th! All you have to do is register! It’s DIY time! Take a class and learn some fun things!
And look what I just made in a few hours of free time! I took a few kitchen towels and trimmed them with left-over jelly roll strips! These were so easy to make. I just turned under the edges of the jelly roll strips (2 1/2″ wide strips) 1/4″, pressed under the edges and stitched on the strip. I added some trim and they were finished! Someone on my list just might find these under the tree!

I’ll be cooking a GREAT Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday for my family with all the trimmings. Has to be great so I can bribe my husband with food on Friday. He’ll be decorating and hanging my Snowbound quilt!

The towels are so cute! Makes kitchen work a little more fun when you have such “pretties” to help out. It will just be four of us and two grandbabies (2years and 2months). Son is in Canada for the holiday. But, will still have turkey, and all the “fixins”. Will have lots of left overs, but, that’s part of it! Anne, I love the Moda Bake Shop. So many wonderful projects, many with tutorials, a great place to wander around! You know, that beautiful fabric does look familiar…LOL. Your kitchen towels are really lovely, what a great idea. As for Thanksgiving, I’m cooking for the family this year and really excited about it. My youngest daughter and her two sons (22 and 17) will be here! My oldest daughter live just 35 miles away and has the two youngest grands that we don’t get to see very often (long story) but she is cooking for her family and some friends so I won’t get to see them until we take their Christmas gifts up to them. Ah well, I can almost smell the turkey cooking right now, and the pies and rolls. I think the wonderful scents of Thanksgiving dinner cooking are the second best part of the meal. The first of course is the blessing of having family here to share with. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and tell Michaela that we need to see more of her delightful drawings! Blessings…

Super cute towels. I’d want to just admire them instead of use them. I’m making homemade chili powder in cute little jars and vanilla sugar for my cooking/baking friends. Perhaps I’ll whip up some pretty towels too. I do have Christmas Secrets in the works using polka dots.
