Fall Quilt Market
The only thing I don’t like about Fall market is the timing. It always seems to fall over Halloween and many of us don’t get to see our kids or grand-kids dressed in all their glory. Of course at Moda they try and make us feel like family, so we had some trick or treating going on right at market!
Debbie, (chief of all things patterns) was so cute. There I was telling her how I’d have everything ready early for spring market and she just cracked up laughing!
She threatens me every year because I’m late getting things to her, but even dressed up like a witch she’s really not very threatening looking (sorry Debbie). I’m in love with those green tights of hers (see below)! And that hat! Don’t you love the hat? Seems to me she could “pattern” that! She’s standing in front of Jan Patek’s booth, dressed to sell Jan’s new pattern.
And speaking of Jan, just look at how she and her helper Jenny dressed up!

And then there’s “Moda Lissa” who looks cute no matter what she does. Orange polka dots and cowboy boots go so well together I’m not sure she can call it “dressing up”.

I’m afraid Debbie looks a bit too cute to scare anyone :-) Thanks for the tour, great job, by the way! You sure packed a lot into your booth this time! I think everything you displayed is my favorite! Is it in any way significant that the duck going her own direction just happens to be a ‘she’? Cape Cod Baby is also just adorable….soon your granddaughter will have to be on the payroll :-) Those little animals are just too cute, and I absolutely LOVE Bitty Mouse, I could really see her hanging from my tree.

Good morning Anne. Thanks for taking me to Fall Market with you. Your video is great and felt like I was there. I love Debbie’s green tights too and her laugh…you can almost hear her…. but I’m here to say …..’OH yes Anne can…..get her spring market projects to her early’. You had a lot on your plate this summer with Bitsy and Hubby…..added stress that you won’t have for spring market…….! Hope all are well in Discovery Bay. Have a wonderful weekend.

Anne, I was able to watch the video and it was great. You were wonderful, you should get top billing with Lily and Will and Bitty Mouse as Co-stars and your grand daughter in charge of special effects. I remember when she did the drawing you posted but you said there were others that you couldn’t show us because you were going to be using them. The whale is wonderful in the middle of the sailboats. Beautiful fabric, really wonderful patterns too. Oh, one more thing about the snuggle fabric…it’s not just babies that love it…I have my stuff animals all around my sewing room. I have never outgrown the love for them. Never will, LOL. Thanks so much for sharing your booth with us. Hugs….

Anne, I love the pictures and I’m headed back to see if this old computer will run the video, but I had to stop to ask…what is Lissa wearing in her hair??? Up close it is a little blurry but looks like a bug of some kind, LOL. Or…maybe my eyes are just going ‘buggy’. Could be, I’m pretty tired tonight, LOL. Hugs…
