A few more Pets

Saturday is coming up fast and I’ll be announcing the winner of the “I love my pet contest”.  Chelsea is ready, and she’s been practicing choosing a winner.  She’s looked at all the photos, I’ve read her all the emails, and she’s more excited than you can imagine!

Wait!  What’s wrong here!  She can’t be sleeping through all of this can she?  This just can’t be happening.  She has work to do!

Don’t worry;  she’ll wake up for a treat.  She’s very fond of food as you can see.  Our neighbor calls her Super Squirrel and I’m beginning to think the name fits.  She’s about the right size and she’s storing up for winter.  I’ve caught her burying little chew bones lately.

Before I end this parade of photos, I just have to share a few more.  There are hundreds of amazing pictures, and so many wonderful pets!  I never anticipated such a response. I wish I could have featured each and every one.  Hope you enjoy a few more stars!

We’ll be back on Saturday to announce Chelsea’s pick for the winning basket.  She needs her rest!  She’s got a lot of responsibility for such a little dog.

Thank you to each and everyone who submitted photos!

Sam was very excited to see his picture featured in your blog. In case no one else knows who Sam is, he is the 6th picture down. Sam is a 7 year old golden retriever. He is our first “rescue” dog. We have 2 other golden retrievers. Sam has been with us for a little over 2 months. He is a great dog! I encourage more people to check out rescue/humane society/shelter dogs first before getting a puppy. All dogs deserve a second chance at a happy home. Sam lost his Mom to cancer and was very depressed. Now, he loves playing with our other dogs and hanging out in our back yard. He has been an added joy to our family. Rest in peace Blanche, Sam has a good home and is loved very much.

    You know Anne,
If you ever decided to give up designing (GOD forbid) you really could do some “free lance” writing and maybe pay for a “fat quarter” or two :)! Keep entertaining us becuase your blog goes far beyond the quilting world and helps bring us as a “body of people” to be more positive about life. Which I think has a “dominoe effect” on the people we interact with on a daily basis! And that’s a good thing :)!

I have just loved seeing all of the pet photos. They are all worthy of being a winner, and they are all beautiful. Life would not be the same without pets to share our lives. I wish I could pat/cuddle each and every one of them. I know it could take quite a while- LOL. Sandy :-)

They are all adorable, including little Chelsea. We are all so lucky to have such beautiful animal friends. I know my pets bring me so much happiness as they obviously bring happiness to the rest of the Bunny Hill devotees. Thanks once again, Anne. Its been a joy to share in this over the last few weeks

How is Chelsea ever going to decide. It certainly has to be a daunting task for such a sweet little pup! I’m sure she will be up to the task though, especially if there are treats involved.

Can’t wait to see who she picks.

Dearest Anne ~ What a great surprise to see Daisy’s picture included with all of these wonderful cats and dogs! You must have worked computer magic to get her picture from the poor attachment I sent to you. Much thanks, my friend!

I don’t envy the huge task ahead of Chelsea (Bitsy & Mooch better help her out!) These fur baby photos are the best – you just can’t help but feel happier after looking at them. Thank you for sharing them with us and best of luck to Chelsea!

    Anne:
Not only is this posting of our beloved pets fun, it shows how much love animals bring to our daily life. No one can say “it’s only a dog, or a cat.” God gave us these little creatures to give us love when we need it the most. That is why is is crucial we protect animals that depend on us. Thanks so much for honoring my sweet cat, Duke. He was truly my Lion King. Thanks again, Anne for this wonderful venue of love and laughs.

I am so surprised to see my cat featured on your post!!! It has made my day!!! Chelsea looks like she will be all rested up for the drawing on Saturday. If not, Bitsy or Mooch could give her some help.

Oh that Chelsea…looks like she has the right idea to me. She probably isn’t sleeping though, she’s just pondering all the photos she has looked at and is wrestling with what to do!!!
So many wonderful babies. I have really enjoyed them all. Hugs…

I never tire of seeing all the pet photos!! I have a photo album called Frosty and Friends (my first maltese). There I collect photos of all my friends pets – they are adorable! I agree, such a big day for Chelsea – exhausting in fact – zzzzz!

These are just too, too cute! One of them looks just like a little stuffed dog I had as a kid :-) They are all too sweet not to post!
Chelsea looks like she’s just resting up for the big day. Oh, and speaking of burying, my little granddaughter has been collecting acorns and grasses and making a little storage area under the big tree in their yard…helping out the squirrels…how cute is that?
