Other Nice Things

UPS gets me in trouble

UPS just gets me in so much trouble.  Granted we do a lot of shipping by UPS, but seems that brown truck is here almost every day with deliveries too!

The good thing is that my hubby thinks everything I’m buying is for you!  It’s great having a web site because I can disguise a lot of boxes as Bunny Hill product.  “Oh that’s for Bunny Hill”, I say.  Like this market trolley I bought on Amazon last week…

The UPS box it arrived in was small!  About the size of the polka dot pocket on the bag!  The bag folds up and fits inside the pocket!    Think of this at a farmer’s market or a quilt show!  Carry it with you and as soon as your arms fill up with veggies or fabric you open it up and have a second pair of hands!  It’s made by Reisenthel of Germany.  I bought it in the USA, even though I just got back from Germany.  This would make NO sense at all to my husband so mum’s the word.

I added some Bunny Hill products to the web site this week.  I love these leather ThimblePads. Love them!  I use them in place of a thimble and they can be re-used over and over.  I prefer the leather pads over the plastic and I’ve been looking all over for them.  Now that I’ve finally found them, I’ll keep them in stock.

I’ve also added YLI silk thread for applique!  I’ve been thinking about this for awhile.  When I found it packaged as a “collection” I ordered some and had it shipped to me UPS of course.  You’ll save money on the set,  and I get more Bunny Hill product delivered by UPS!  That’s a good thing!

You can find the trolley on Amazon.  You’ll find the thimble pads and silk thread on my web site  under “What’s New”.

I keep waiting to see who the LUCKY winner is going to be of those beautiful Snowbound blocks that Karen is giving away.  One of you could win!  I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.  Those block are wonderful!

And, I’ll be back on Wednesday to tell you who the FAMOUS quilter is who will be interviewing me on her blog.  She’s really famous and here’s the best clue I can give you…she has more ENERGY than anyone I know.

Hugs,

Anne

I’m rather late posting to this, but just wanted to tell you that I LOVE those little thimble pads. Could never get used to wearing thimbles, no matter how much we were forced to in our Home Ec classes! And you’re right, that brown truck usually means treats :-)

Love the bag!! I have a couple of them, and took to AQS Knoxville show and they did not allow them – a lady fell over one the year before – ugh!! Sure holds a lots of finds tho!!
Love, love, love Pat Sloan! Mention energy, and it’s a dead give away………she puts us all to shame!
Love new sparkleys on the fur babies!!

Gee, the one designer that has the most energy of anyone I know is Pat Sloan – she is amazing, as are you. Just picked up the Yo Yo Ville patter when I went to Seattle for their W. Washington Shop Hop – can’t wait to do it! Looking forward to your interview!

I’m not so interested in who the FAMOUS quilter is but where and how does she get so much energy? Have more I want to do than I can get done! AND you designers keep coming up with more ideas. Thank you.

I LOVE it when the UPS truck comes to my house (which isn’t really that often, unfortunately!), but it always seems sort of like Christmas when that big brown truck makes a delivery.

I can see that it could get you into a lot of trouble, though. Lucky you have Bunny Hill for a great ‘cover’.

    How’s Bitsy doing these days?

You will really know you are in trouble with UPS when the dogs hear the truck coming and start barking. Everytime that darn truck goes down the street Duncan starts barking thinking UPS is stopping here. Then I get THE LOOK! soooo…I have started shopping when Jay is out of town as he is usually gone for a couple of weeks at a time……Aren’t I clever??? hah Hate it when things a back-ordered and I get caught!

I love those Thimble Pads. I discovered them about a year ago, and only use them now. I was appliquing before work one morning, and when I got to the office, I realized I still had one on my finger!

I love the black polka dot bag…I am dreaming of so many things to do with it. Just stashing fabric from from the store to the house…I think I need to have 1 for in the car for like ALL the time-I am so excited. I have no travel plans-no shopping plans-in fact I have been Sick for over 2 weeks with a flu-respiratory-maybe pneumonia-but You gotta LOVE a great bag !!!
