A Tisket, A Tasket, It’s October’s Basket!

It’s October, the month of black cats and trick or treats

I have two little black cats that live at Bunny Hill, and you’ll find one in the basket this month!

Meet Topsy & Turvy !

Topsy and Turvy Collage

Topsy & Turvy are rescue cats.  A horrible man dumped them in a shopping mall parking lot and drove off.  We saw it happening.  They were only kittens but they panicked, we panicked, and after a lot of running, stress, and more running, we all ended up in the same car together. Ross and I rescued them. It was a miracle of sorts. We’ve had them about 4 or 5 years now and they are our very own little Halloween treats!  It was just before Halloween that they were dumped!

So let’s go trick or treating together!  You’ll find this free pattern here on my web site, along with all the NEW patterns from Bunny Hill here

And the wool version of October’s block?  It’s over at Cottons ‘n Wool of course!

And look at what just arrived from Moda!  It’s the French General Notebooks!  They are beautiful!  We only have a few to sell, so if you’d like one click here!

Have fun with the new block for October everyone!  Trick or Treat!

Hugs,

Anne

  • Stephanie - There should be a special place for people who dump animals!!! Topsy and Turvy are sweet. I just saw Anne's wool version of your darling October block. So darn cute!!!ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - Oh, Anne, thank you SO much for a cat at last! I love your two rescue cats. I have two as well: a large black one who "strayed" into my garden and after a saga has come back home and a "new" pale grey tabby kitten, who's now about 16 weeks old. She and her mother and step-sister were dumped at one of our local rescue centres. I'm sure they'll both love their new "friend" – lol. I will try and get the block finished quickly this time and then go back and finish the others.
Oh, I found the block online at 8.30 UK time – before your story behind the block had come up!ReplyCancel

  • Jackie - What a wonderful story of your rescue. I just hate to hear that people can be so cruel to any animal. Good for you to rescue them!! And here is to a wonderful basket to celebrate themReplyCancel

  • Diane - Anne, my heart just melted when I saw your beautiful little cats!! And your story!! We had five adorable black cats w/ white mittens and nose markings, my boys named the mama 'Mittens' and her litter of four all looked like her…they are sadly all gone now, we lost our last little angel, Max, over a year ago at age 20, and I still think about her every day.ReplyCancel
