Reading Material

I’m always on the lookout for new reads.  Just so happens I found two of them this week.

Ok, you may not need to read the first one…just thought I’d point it out because it’s my “Sugar Bunny” quilt on the cover!   Well, part of the quilt…they cut off the bunnies and changed the colors!  But it’s my quilt and hey it’s on the cover minus a few star points.

What to expect

And there’s more! Inside the book, they credit the quilt design to Anna Sutton.   You’ve heard of her, that famous Anna Sutton?  Hummm, name sounds familiar to me.

The second find, “Blogging for Bliss”  I recommend as a good read if you like blogging or reading blogs.  Not only does it have some great blogs inside, it has information and tips on blogging!  Blogging for Bliss Our own Pam Kitty Morning and Happy Zombie are in the book! Congratulations ladies!

Inside book

I visited The Vintage Magpie blog yesterday as I was looking through the book…cost me a bit of money.  She makes bunnies!   Cute ones and you know who, (me) bought one.  I was influenced by that Anna.

Have a great day everyone!  I’ll be reading more of this book later!

Hugs,

Anne (with an e)

  • mimi'sdarlins - Hi, Anne (or should I say Anna?)…
Thanks for sharing that blog! I've decided than unless I discard my TV, my books, my crafts (NOT my fabrics), everything else that keeps me busy, I'm going to have to cut back on my blog browsing. Oh no!…. did I really say that? But I almost forgot to go to bed last night…I had just logged on for a 'minute'…it was when my laptop warned me that it needed recharging that I realized how long I'd been on. What's a girl to do? So many blogs, so little time….ReplyCancel

  • rachel griffith - anna sutton.

  • Cathy - When I saw the title of the first book, I initially thought it was a parody. But on further examination it appears to be for real.ReplyCancel

  • Miss Jean - Did the publisher contact this Anna Sutton person to get permission to use one of her designs? Tee Hee! So much for your 15 minutes of fame outside the quilting world (where you are way famous). The least they could do was spell your name correctly. So much for proof readers. Still, I bet you were thrilled to see the book cover.ReplyCancel

  • Quilt Hollow - Anne Sutton….I see the name in lights!ReplyCancel

  • Sipiweske Quilts - You had me going with that first book cover . . . wondered how that related for a minute! I had one boss that used to call me "Mar" all the time – very wierd. I suppose an alias could be a handy thing to have Anna. Have a great day! – MarleneReplyCancel

  • Barb - How exciting for you!!! Truly…and the cover looks wonderful!!ReplyCancel

  • happy zombie - Imagine my shock to open up your blog and see the pregnancy book image! OH ANNE! And this is why we read. Ok, whew. For minute there I thought you had a bunny in the oven. Love that that's your quilt on the cover (and credit too!). That book was my bible 18+ years ago – but mine didn't have your darling quilt on the cover. I see that book all the time, and will think of you every time I see it. CONGRATS – that's just too cool, Anne!

Hugs and thanks for the book lovin'!!ReplyCancel

  • Maria - Ok, so I'm a little behind on my blog reading! The book cover is so cool!!! I almost wore out What to Expect When You're Expecting, What to Expect the First Year, and What to Expect The Second Year.

I'll have to admit, I'm thrilled to not need that book!!! I had enough issues with having babies, but ended up with five!!!ReplyCancel
